try going to a formal dinner at trinity at one point. The hall is lit only by candles, and you are surrounded on all sides by portraits. A gong sounds, everyone rises to hear the master and vice master recite grace. And then dinner starts
Isaac newton was a great physicist, but he wasn't the sort of person you would exactly get along with; he spent a lot of his time cursing at Christiaan Huygens for providing the wave theory for light, denouncing Newton's corpuscle theory... It turn's out neither one was 100% correct but Huygens was more correct than Newton I'd say.
to say which one is "better" it depends on the subject that you are looking to study , but both Oxford and Cambridge are in the top 5 universities for pretty much all courses they do , , as for are people nice , i would imagine both cambridge and oxford have nice people , and student wise it will obviously differ year to year.
May somebody please answer me this-which is really better Oxford or Cambridge? Also, instead of studying, are (maybe stupid question, but I have to ask) people there nice?
I recall staying overnight at King's in, I think, 1980. It was an excellent experience. The punts went right past my friend's halls of residence. It certainly beat my Uni, Dundee! Still, we at least got MAs. I think Cambridge does BAs. To be honest, I'd have rather gone to Cambridge and got a BA. I could cope with that!
The Cambridge med students I knew were mostly deviant alcoholics and obnoxious arseholes. We had to carry more than one several times into to a taxi to get to a hospital because he was so far gone he was crawling and vomiting on the pavement then throwing medical equipment at nurses when he was in A.E. Now I've heard he works above those same nurses. I only visited them from year to year, but don't let the idea because these fellows study at 'Oxbridge' they are more diciplined and intelligent than the average student across the U.K. For the most part they come from Grammar schools where they are taught, coached and groomed how and what to say by ex Oxbridge students to get through the exam system and interviews in a certain way that the comprehensive education system isn't privy to. The Golden Triangle is basically a childish youth club.
Man Beadle I go to a grammar school, and haven’t been groomed coached or taught what to say to get through an exam system, especially when exams have nothing to do with ex oxbridge students
The fact that he’s most definitely a doctor now, maybe even has a family is… wow
This is so weird because I lived in Cambridge all my life so it's strange seeing it from a student perspective
I really like the way in which this young man speaks.
Was the video shaking for anyone else? It was cool during the breakdancing part.
This guy is so awesome.

That's because a great majority of the footage in the Harry Potter films is filmed at Cambridge- and at Oxford too.
Nice! We'll be next door neighbours pretty much at King's and Clare. A*AA too right?

@piano1996No1 Cambridge. Oxford depressed the hell out of me during my interviews. Or at least St Hilda's College did.
