- I'm really blown away by this 3x3 budget magnetic speed cube by MoYu... The MoFang JiaoShi (Cubing Classroom) MeiLong M (magnetic) series has just been released and in this video I talk about the 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4! I compare this with my main - MoYu's flagship speed cube the WeiLong WR M.

I have Meilong 3M, RS3M 2020, and QiYi MS. Meilong 3M is definitely my favorite of all three. It's quietest, lightest weight, lightest turning, perfect magnet strength. Needless to say, it is my main. Now I'm afraid to even buy flagship cubes if they're not going to be better than this cube.

@@shrshrwan5595 I only recommend Meilong 3M if you like light turning cube. Make sure to have lubes for the springs and lube it before playing with it or the spring noise will drive you crazy.
This year they came out with Maglev technology that uses opposing magnets to replace the springs. However, it only comes out for RS3M 2021 and WR M 2021 version. I haven't tried it yet but it will remove the need for spring lubes.

@cuber I'm the same. I have a Gan xs, but I got a meilong last week just because it looks very pretty (I got the macaron colour one, all pastel colours, like macaroon cookies, hence the name). I got it just for a fun collectors item. But God damn, it's better than my gan xs. Mind you I've only got back into cubing for the last month, so I got a gan xs to restart the hobby, and I haven't actually adjusted it yet. So it could still be better than the meilong with a lot of adjustment. But out of the box the meilong is outstanding. And it's not even magnetised, this macaron version, so I assume the proper coloured one with magnets is even better
Like I said this is not for speedcubing. The pastel colours make it incredibly hard to distinguish them from each other at high speed. So I'm gonna buy a magnetised meilong with normal colours, and if it's as good as this pastel meilong out of the box, it'll become my main, for sure.
I was really really surprised. Like when I was cubing first like 5 years ago, budget cubes weren't much good at all. This silly little pastel coloured cube I got for £4 is somehow better than the gan xs I paid £50 for. Blows my mind a bit. I'll see about adjusting the gan to try and get it as good as the meilong
But yeah, corner cutting is better than on the gan xs, though reverse corner cutting is slightly worse. It's a very fast cube compared to the Gan, almost too fast. Putting some lube in to control it has helped a bit. It's kinda wild and hard to control because it's so fast. It came very loose out of the box. But there's no popping or corner twisting at all, it seems like it's gonna explode any second, but it never actually does. Algorithms just flow so much faster on this cube. You can be a LOT less accurate with finger tricks and it'll still turn for you even if everything is misaligned
Also I really love the frosted plastic on this meilong macaron. Makes it look even more beautiful

wasn't the meilong 4x4 REALLY good when you magnetise it that it feels like a flagship? everyone kept recommending me to get a meilong 4x4 since im on a budge and to magnetise it... why isnt everyone so hyped for this one??
I’m ordering one and this cub looks so smooth but I never had a speed cube so I go a normal cube first because I heard you should start with a normal cube so I did and now I am a pro at cubing so I watched this vid and the turning looks very smooth on the 3 by 3 and 2 b 2

I've had this cube for 2 years now , and it still is amazing! although it's slowly starting to break apart . very much expected but still impressive

@@someonelsy well it's actually that not much dmg, in the core, on one of the centers the hole where you screw it in got a little loose , and from that began constant tightening and loosing causing more dmg and ultimately popping. I've thankfully fixed it and I'd assume it's mostly up to the user.

There's another new budget 3*3 from the MFJS series - The RS3M 2020 edition you may like it more since there have been many reviews that say it's wonderful.
it is good and i have both but i only would reccomend the rs3m of the meilong 3m bc of the customizarion

I have one question. How do the qiyi ms 3x3 and meilong 3x3 m differ? In your opinion, which one is better?
The plastic of the MS feels harsher and the magnets are stronger, whereas the MeiLong has a soft smooth feel with medium strength magnets. I’ll probably make a comparison video of the two 🙂

No this is the MeiLong M 3x3, the one you’re talking about is the RS3M 2020 which is a little bit of a higher end budget cube than this. I’ll have a video on it next week

I have the macaron version of the meilong 3x3. I only bought it cos its very pretty with the pastel colours. It's a bit useless for speedcubing properly because the pastel colours make it very difficult to distinguish between them. But damn this thing is actually better than my Gan XS. And this macaron version isn't even magnetised. Yet somehow its just better than the Gan. Algorithms flow so much better on it, you can be a lot less accurate with it and it'll still turn for you
I'm definitely gonna buy a meilong with the proper colors, and with magnets. I really love the colours on the main one anyway, it also looks pretty. But the point is it'll be better than my gan and will probably become my main. Not that I really compete or anything. I just do this for fun as a hobby. But yeah I want this meilong in the proper colours.
