I spotted a very skinny tanned bloke with slick greasy black hair, he was wearing all Stihl gear and had white socks pulled over his trousers. People were having their photos taken with him. Wtf was that all about? Good show, some amazing kit there. Lots of riff raff types walking around to see to.
i'm afraid it's nothing like it used to be year's ago, there were all the manufactures of harvester's and forwarder's etc all actually felling and extracting trees, now it's more for the firewood and chipping people which is a real shame.
I agree there is more for the firewood and biomass industry than there used to be, but I think there is still a good mix of stands and massive machines to look at!
