I think the reason your sister is getting goods and boos is because she's so light. The sensors have a hard time picking up the signals. Well that was the problem for me.
Damn vid 9yrs old, the little girl did totally awesome. Hope she kept playing and went to tourneys. I so miss playing but foam lads i couldn't do..damn thing moved all the time.
Whew yeah it's pretty amazing to think this recording is already this old. My little sister was really good at this age yeah, I was impressed! She joined me at a tournament once or twice in the past, she doesn't play anymore nowadays though (partially because I too stopped with playing frequently at home)
Coming from someone who played DDR back when it once launched up until the PS2 era for supernova and extreme 2, great job! Bravo! This is what I miss seeing; individuals playing dance dance revolution without the use of a bar and actually testing their true endurance, leg strength, and mobility. These days I see people playing and being dependent on the bar for songs at a level like this. I get that the bar makes the much newer and harder songs more feasible, but then it doesn’t even look like dancing anymore. Looks like penguin waddling and honestly makes individuals look and silly needing something to hold them up. No longer a dance dance revolution, more like a wiggle waddle revolution. To his or her own opinion, I think the bar use defeats the original principle of the game (yeah call me old school). So, I give a lot of props to the individuals of this clip for managing to play this song standing up. Pretty sad that I still see bars being used for charts similar to this difficulty. Imagine if the bar was removed? I bet players will look even weirder because they’re not used to balancing on their own two feet.
Thanks for the encouraging words! I do love a bit of no-bar play, balancing it with bar'd gameplay. Personally I think people should just play whatever way they're comfy with no matter the difficulty though, nowadays I feel the norms have shifted so much that there isn't really a 'traditionally proper' way of playing anymore when it comes to using the bar, it's all equally valid. but I do think it's extra impressive when people try playing without the bar. I'd encourage anyone to try at the very least 😄
from DDR to WWR.it's like training wheels on the bike.or a walker for people to keep their balance.i agree it just does not look like dancing when using the bar.i used to care on how people played all these dance games.i was a cocky arrogant player back then.even the centering of the feet bugged me.i don't care about how they play anymore.i am not competitive anymore i just play for fun. But man, when people played the MAX songs.many players wanted to bar for score.or bar to be the first ones to beat it!
Haha, nah, these sensors can sense her just fine :3 I'm fairly certain it's her timing, I can tell when I look at her play from the sidelines. The fact I'm playing on level 6 Timing Difficulty probably doesn't help either xD
xD I think they look a little weird sometimes though haha, especially my right hand :p I've noticed I tend to stick out my index finger a lot if I'm very focused, looks funny haha
@@carinaolander3016 Unfortunately I am currently not aware of any other similar mats that are available. Nowadays many players go for hard pads straight away (e.g. L-TEK)

You cannot perform any jump that includes the down arrow, do I understand correctly? Several questions I have to clarify your setup: 1. Are you using a pad? If yes, what type/model? 2. If you are using a pad, is it connected through USB directly or are you using an adapter in-between? 3. When you go to the test input screen in the options in StepMania, does it also show there that combinations with down don't work?
@@xemasay087 Hmm.. did you the buy the pad yourself? If so, maybe it's just easiest if you link me where you bought it. But more importantly, can you try the input test I mentioned and tell me what happens when you try (my third question in my previous reply)
I love this! And your sister is so good! I'm actually learning from you guys this song :)
Thank you! It's so nice to hear that when this video is already getting so old 😄

yeah I had that same issue on my old pad it takes a lot of force to trigger them and make contact

this legend actually still responds to comments even after 9 years
Okay, i need to ask where you got these mats cuz they already look better than my Dancepadmania pads.
Sorry to tell you that these have been out of production for many years, as the company that produced and sold them has been closed

What mats are these? Are they DDRGame?
They're FutureMax. Long defunct European brand/reseller of dance pads.
Can you help me? I can make any jump with down arrow, mi pc doesn’t allow to combine down arrow with another arrow.
