Really appreciate Russell Kane talking about how cats can be just as affectionate as dogs if you bother raising them right. Mine follow me around the house, greet me at the door when I get home, and play fetch in the garden. It's just a matter of giving them a chance.
Definitely, but I think affection from cats can be drastically different to affection from dogs. I have had cats that were affectionate, would come and see us at the door, even climb onto the roof of the car to say hello as you pull into the driveway (which sadly is how said cat ultimately died. Didn't see it run behind the car) but cats can be extremely independent as well, and while they will show affection they will often wander off to do their own thing. There are of course exceptions to the rule when it comes to cats as there are for dogs.
Animals are essential for us to thrive imo. Seniors live longer, have more purpose and are more active with pets. We find emotional support and comfort with them. Unconditional love and acceptance. ❤
i love russell kane, great stand up and has a great voice.just listened to his audiobook son of a silverback, kane has a very good voice for reading books.
All the human names for pets is most amusing to me… Barbara, Brian and Colin. 😂 I don’t know why. A former coworker had a cat named Bernard. 😂 Some pet owners are very witty and give their animals hilarious names. Sometimes brilliant play on words. I used to work at veterinary hospitals, and sometimes it was hard to call the animal for their exam with a straight face. Lol. What’s the oddest or funniest pet names you’ve heard?
It's not that pets wouldn't have a deeper relationship, but you literally define and ring fence their entire universe. You are their jailer - they cannot go out without your permission. They cannot eat without your permission. They cannot even crap without your permission in many cases. Then you say you had three large animals and left them alone all day AND most of the night, and you consider that nurture? Not impressed. Utterly selfish. The animals have been deprived of everything except you. No wonder they try to appease you.
@@identity__thief The cat who allows me to share the house with her, adopted me. She's free range, had the snip, food recommended by vets, chipped and always up-to-date on jabs, flea and worm treatments. She's about fifteen going on three with how healthy and active she is 😻
@@LimeyRedneck He said he was living alone, working two jobs, and he had two dogs and a cat which were left alone at home all that time. What assumptions do I need to make?
@@identity__thief Ahhh, if only you were right instead of smugly wrong. I was adopted by a tiger striped tabby who I called Spud. He came and went as he wanted, and I merely fed him, offered him somewhere dry to sleep, and gave him love. That was a non-abusive relationship. He was not a comfort animal kept prisoner to feed my own emotional needs.

Nice Russell
The thumbnail reminds me of a joke from Jack Whitehall: “My girlfriend recently told me that she’s bi… polar.”
What’s the joke?
Whitehall thought his girlfriend was going to say that she's bisexual. Instead, she said that she's bipolar.
🤠💜

He also said he's been single for nine months since he was a teenager...
A lot of assumptions in your comment.
Tell me you've never been adopted by a stray without telling me you've never been adopted by a stray
