I knew this would be a tough match. They beat us at Anfield in a game they dominated and we drew the away game. I am very very disappointed. The players look tired but hopefully the midfielders will be back soon. It's our biggest problem this season

Well this has to be blame on owners, saying we are good enough. We cannot over rely on Fabinho, he cannot play every game. And IF he plays every game, he will get ran to the ground and then also eventually get injured. Now i am scared for Hendo, he too is playing too much.( if our owners just spend 30 mil on a midfielder, we would not be in this position).
Henderson is usually very good as a 2nd choice in that cdm role i felt he was our best midfielder tbh he did not play as well 2nd half as 1st also jones and ox were dreadful vs brighton (nice assist from ox but didnt do much rest of game)

I don't know if you agree with me, but Mane was very selfish today, not passing good balls to Salah, then Klopp made a mistake when he kept Firmino in the second half, even though he was very bad in the first half.
Firmino has shown that form for which people started hating him for a period of time

@@hansrieder3351 Exactly, when Salah reached the defense line the ball was a bit too much ahead of Mane (at that point he literally passed the ball as soon as he could). There's so much to take in consideration when attempting a through ball while running and trying to catch the defense off guard.

@@henrypowell3496 no the cb’s did a great job with what they got to work with. It’s hard for them to defend if the midfield is 15 meters up the pitch and it’s 4v2 against the cb’s. The 2 goals we conceded today could’ve been prevented if the midfield tried to sit a bit deeper and help the defenders out, instead they were high up the pitch and were jogging back when Brighton went on counter attacks.

Henderson is supposed to be doing a job that he isn't, meaning Konate pushes out, meaning Robertson has to cover both the ball going to Trossard and the other player which is why he drops. The challenge he makes is horrible but him dropping isn't the problem. It all stems from the midfield being garbage.

Passing plays are amazing
1- Just look at Robertson`s positioning in the second goal. I`ve said many times that he always sinks with the attackers and breaks the offside line. Some people`s performance isn`t scrutinized just because of their pre-ranking. We have a quality LB on the bench, he played less and was effective in every single game, yet this isn`t enough for him to be in the starting 11 from time to time.
2-This has been the story of this season so far: scoring and dismantling afterward. I don`t know why Klopp insists on the same style 90 minutes in every match. We are very fatal in counter-attacks and yet we never play in that manner. After having the lead, Instead of keep pushing, opening the pitch, and allowing other teams to implement their plans, we could easily position in defense, secure the lead, use the wide spaces in behind, and even score much more.
3- I feel that this team is overloaded. The players have been pressing high for almost 5 years, while they are aging. I don't sense that they are as energetic and furious as they were before. Brighton today were fitter, more physical, and endurant. They even deserved to win.
No idea what Robertson was doing. If he holds the line, it's not a goal. He needs to be dropped. Very disappointing result when we might've run away with it.

Plus he is the last man, why is he trying to tackle,last man will normally stand their ground and wait for help to come. And the midfielder is mostly at fault for both goals. Another two points lost. That's 6 points given away along with the 10 men Chelsea draw and Brentford's 3-3. Six points is a lot, I hope this doesn't become like 2019 where we lost only one game but drew way too many and finished short of one point for the title. Up the Reds 👏👏👏

I think we have to get players in the midfield and that Jurgen Klopp has to be very tough with the defense line to stick to their roles so that we don't have to receive goals like this again.

If they two had started together against Brighton today, against city and brentford i believe we would have won every single one of those games. They give a really good structure and protection for the defense which we lacked in those 3 games especially.

How ox is playing for Liverpool I'll never know. Himself and Jones not good enough helping out the defense. Fabinho and Thiago missed badly. Also giving up to many soft goals. Last season it was the defense that cost us this season it's midfield. That's Elliott milner kieta fabinho and Thiago all out. Shocked at how easily Brighton played through us.

Against a team doing really well due to how they play as a unit, we decide not to play our best defensive unit Matip+VVD, strike 1. Naby didnt train all week due to the tackle he took against utd is, made to start, as though we have no other players, strike 2.
Mid-week Taki plays left midfield, Jones playes left forward, against Brighton Taki is benched and Jones starts left middle, strike 3.
Makes absolute zero sense how Klopp decides his team and how he uses players.
