That Glunch deck is similar to my Breena deck. It's group hug (with all the goad auras to make things interesting), until it becomes a 1v1 and your sole opponent realizes that your commander (who has just sat there giving out gifts all game) has basically gone Super Saiyan, and is protected from all removal. The gaslight there though, is I run all the "attack my opponent and draw" cards (eg. Gix) and anti-stax cards (eg. Howling Mine and Horn of Greed), alongside the cards like Esper Sentinel/Smothering Tithe/Trouble in Pairs, and so people don't pay taxes or play around my "stax" because my resources are being spent providing gifts to everybody. Thematically, she's the MC at a fight club who just incites everybody into beating each other to death, while handing out bats, then finishes off the weakened "winner." It's also pretty well-liked, even though the deck has a 100% lethality rate when I actually swing in. His deck needs Nils, Discipline Enforcer. That card is beyond screwed up, and few realize what it can do. Ignore the first paragraph and focus on the second--it's a creature for 2W that acts like Ghostly Prison, but each creature attacking you requires the opponent to pay X, where X = the number of counters on that creature. And nobody wants to remove it, because it puts a +1/+1 counter on one creature per player, and the downside is only if they attack you. Also, Angel's Trumpet is a funny card that can be deceptively brutal in this sort of list. It gives every creature vigilance, but causes each creature that didn't attack each turn to tap itself and deal 1 damage to its control. This makes Scute players very sad, as each creature that doesn't have haste deals 1 to its controller. Add in Sphere of Safety/Ghostly Prison/Nils/Onakke Oathkeeper, and wide boards become a massive liability once it reaches 1v1, as they can't attack with everything and their own board starts to ping them to death.
My goal is to build a group hug Vazi deck that throws around treasures and removes that's for long enough to store up a billion mana for fireball. It doesn't work because I never draw into treasure generators. It does work because it has some big stompy cards in it and doesn't function as a deck, letting me be ignored, until I drop a giant. Big enough to survive blasphemous act.
I'd like to think I could make a good and fun Gimbal deck but... Even best case scenario, you're utilizing the commander to the fullest, your board is such a mess with random tokens, and the hoops you had to jump to get there...

Hot take, but take the Gimbal precon deck and only replace one card Gimbal and replace it with Flubs, the Fool it works surprisingly well
