@@BehindTheReelFishing Did the option to color your charts go away? If not, do you happen to have a video of how to do it? I'm puzzled on it. My old navi card got corrupted somehow, so I got a new platinum card. The new maps look like crap, in my opinion (or maybe I'm just not used to them yet).
You da man thanks a lot. Couldn’t select depth in chart overlay settings only could on 2D sonar. I just purchased this elite FS 9 and nothing but problems from navico. First was faulty and now they send me a refurbished unit for a brand new unit smh. Have to call tomorrow and find out why this is.
I went out today....no depth reading on my Carbon unit. Went through the steps you suggested and fixed (hopefully) the problem. (in my garage, at least) The only thing I can figure is I just did a software update yesterday. When I checked my Data Sources, my Carbon unit was changed from Channel 2 to Channel 1. Grrr! Also, when I turn on the Carbon now, a message appears "Would you like to delete the old update transfer files from the SD card?' How should I respond to that? Much appreciated!! Liked and subbed.

new boat, new elite fs 9. sonar and downscan work fine but after cruising the signal goes to reading 2feet and not showing much even though in well over 20 feet of water....hope this suggestion fixes the problem
Help! I have an HDS9 and I can’t get it to find the depth. I tried a soft reset with no luck. I can’t tell what model of 3 in 1 transducer I have to see if that’s the issue. Lowrance makes it impossible to find basic info

I have the Triple Shot Hook Reveal 7. I was trolling and all the sudden the screen went to 5ft and the screen was really wavy. Had to unplug it then plug it back in then it worked for about 5 minutes then went back to 5ft and wav screen. Fought with it for hours while trying to fish and still just defaults back to 5ft with wavy screen. 🤬 There’s nothing on the transducer at all, it’s spotless. The connections are all tight, the battery is fully charged. Can’t find anything about this online or UA-cam. All I can find is the “Stopped” info, and it’s not that. Any ideas? Thanks
IDK I would guess there is something going on in the unit internally. I would see if lowrance would take a look at it for you if nothing else was able to resolve it.

In your example, to fix the Temperature, you should have changed Temp from Global to Local. On Local you will see as choices, only the transducers that are plugged into that unit, rather than any transducer on the entire Network.
It sounds like it is not seeing your transducer. I would go back through and make sure your sonar channels are on and your transducer is selected. Worst case try a soft or hard reset.
Thanks for posting this video...I noticed my Lowrance 12Ti2 Elite was getting temp but no sonar, down scan, or side scan. Had no idea the Sonar had to be selected within the network menu. Auto-configure would select nothing for Sonar (transducer properly plugged in, etc.), therefore nothing was selected for "depth" under data sources. My setup is simple...just one AI 3-in-1 transducer plugged into the only port on the back of the head unit, so both temp and depth had to be set to CH1 Sonar. The Product Manual doesn't seem to mention anything about this. Wish I had found this video before I went on the water for the first time with it as nothing I tried would work, and I thought I was dealing with a defective unit. I noticed your Depth was set to "Local" - mine is showing "Global" by default. Does this matter?
I also have a lowrance hook 9 tripleshot transducer on transom of boat,,do you sell anything that helps protect it,,its so long and i worry eventually im going to snap it off,,i fish santte cooper lakes which are full of stumps in shallow water,,we often encounter a stump near the transducer ,,a simple piece of alumiinum made to size would help protect it
We have an option to mount to your jackplate instead of the transom, which gets it up a little higher and less suceptible to getting damaged. @@BehindTheReelFishing Do youknow if its ok to mount the transducer a little higher on back of baot instead of the usual almost even with bottom..with the length of the tripleshot it just hits too much much,,it is however a awesomew piece of technology,,most clear images i have ever seen
@@BehindTheReelFishing I had it wired to front trolling motor batteries and they are going bad so that might be issue..going to rewire to separate 12 volt connection and see how that goes
@Charlie Smith yes I never recommend running your graphs on your trolling motor batteries. You will see a drastic fluctuation in voltage while on the pedal as well as interference. Cranking battery is fine.
Do you know if a tripleshot transducer from a hook 9 inch is same as one that came with my hook reveal tripleshot...one i have on rear of boat is cracked and needs a new bracket made to protect it,,if the transducwer that cmae with new revel will work i will just put it on

@@hulkhuggett the navionics cards won't give you the shading option. That is on CMAP.

Hope that got you fixed up! You can remove the software update after you have completed the update.

Ugh. Having the same trouble with mine. 800 bucks and a unit that tells me temp and is otherwise useless. Pretty expensive temp guage.
This might sound like a dumb question but can I test my sonar while the boat is parked in my driveway or do I have to be out on the water??
You should be able to see temp, but depth may not show anything on dry land

My sonar page isn’t on my menu page anymore. HDS 12 Carbon. Any idea why?

I did go thru the steps and it showed invalid like yours except it didn’t give me the channel selection and no other option to make the unit valid

If you choose global your adjustments will change all units in the network to match. My selecting local your changes will only effect that unit.

I'm really not familiar with fishing that deep. I would recommend looking at an airmar transducer. You will need a 9 pin

My new reveal 7 wont scroll,,unit flickered alot on first start up...whats the fix or do i have a bad unit
Hard to say. I would look at power first with it flickering like that
