“Rambling About” is a blend of everything you see in separate synth videos. It includes:
Review elements: Sharing my subjective opinions, thoughts, and takes.
Tutorial elements: Walking through the functions in an almost video manual style.
Demo elements: Providing sound examples for quick comparisons or patch ideas.
All of this is combined into a vlog-style format, full of tangents, rambling, and broader thoughts. My hope is to provide value through this mix of all these.
Congrats on your new MCO mkii. I got two, and love them to bits!

This is as awesome as the first Pamelas Workout was!
I think this UI is a big improvement!
@@tafonyreynolds And I think that good menu diving is better and faster than strange button combos. I cannot remember any of them.

Vocoder excitement 😂🤘value for money module,👍me like.
@@KD-sp9mr might need to use it on a song lol
Now I am really intrigued, given your house keeping 😉 ALM is a UK company... every store in Europe says a pre-order only right now... how did you get one in the states pre the release date? nice ramble either way
I got one from perfect circuit weeks ago.
@@ChiefThomson it was in stock in vancouver, and I got it used of a friend, I do believe it’s onto second batch for these the first just sold out
@@tafonyreynolds you're absolutely right... wow, for weeks I've been waiting, because the 2 news sources I had, were writing about it in a way, like it's the first launch by end of Jan, and I've been impatiently waiting for the "official first release" LOL
well, at least you've given me more to look forward to 😆
@@ChiefThomson I feel like ALM is probably printing money with these ones lol, great value, super flexible without headaches, i’m immediately tempted to get a second
@@tafonyreynolds haha, I guess that could be true, they are incredible for the amount of hp you need. I only found it because I was looking for an alternative to BIA (specifically a trig input on an OSC)... here I am, waiting for the release 😆
Very interested in this one! We can never have enough of compact fully featured synths!! I would love if they could do an extension to provide more physical access! Hopefully they make a polyphonic one at some point (one can hope)...
@@prinzbach i think they do! the pams expanders are compatible
@@tafonyreynolds Oh nice! I didn't know it was compatible!!
Just to add a random tidbit, it’s funny reading another interview talking about the Squid Salmple and how they wanted to make it a screenless experience? Who knows, screens good, button combos bad.
Almost a shame this is not sponsored content as it's such a good fast walkthrough. This module is very high on my wishlist and I',m definitely going to get one. That said and probably a bit silly to say, but as they crammed so much into this module is it not a bit to much? Like even if Pam's new workout is not deep, I still usually prefer Steppy for making rhythms or beats as it becomes a bit tiresome to turn that encoder. Maybe it's a good idea to get the Axon-2 to go with it?
And I'm 100% with you about screens. Maybe we need another word for screens on modules because they are not the same thing, or picture if you will.
One last thing. I like my QU-bit Chord, but yes, menus are 10.000 times better than button combos and multiple function buttons.
@@jonaseggen2230 I’d be curious to try the expanders with it for sure, I love the workflow here. The pams to steppy comparison is a little hard to say given pams isn’t a step sequencer, I do find pams often goes a little deep at the first level for what I use it for that often, and steppy is so fun and immediate.
@@tafonyreynolds True.
I recently acquired the Gravity from Sitka, a new maker. It's a rather cheap clock and step sequencing module that is promised to be updated, something I think is needed before I can recommend it to anyone, but probably worth keeping an eye on that company.
Regardless of what I said I will get Pam's pro though, for my second case.
