I can’t believe they kept human cannonball after what happened to Malibu years before! Turbo got whacked hard in the head in this episode. Should’ve never happened!
Something that just noticed while rewatching is that every guy who wore the grey uniform in the preliminary rounds were black men. 1st half Preliminary 1: Cliff Miller Preliminary 2: Elbert Grey Preliminary 3: Ernest Peace/Sean Hargrow Preliminary 4: Willie Cooley Preliminary 5: Rodger Hughes 2nd half Preliminary 1: Jerry Burrell Preliminary 2: Michael Coulson Preliminary 3: Don Marcus Bailey Preliminary 4: Carlton Fluker Preliminary 5: Vince Granger Preliminary 6: Charles Neal Darryl Moore was the only black guy to not wear grey and that was only because he was an alternate to someone who wore purple (similar to Vince Granger in the semifinals). There's also a uncertainty over who was Joseph Keetle's opponent in the prelims and which uniform he had.
My fav glad, but Elektra's performance in the Conquer ring absolutely woefull again. First bout tossed out as always as soon as Lisa got hold of her arm. Second bout, managed to stay in the ring, just, but even worse. Come on Elektra, physically probably not the strongest, but you are Gladiator, can't let yourself be dragged helplessly across the ring on your hands an knees by a 126 pound contender.
Swingshot kinda sucked this season with the change of moving closer in; I think Jimmy Echols was one of the only competitors this season to even touch a Blue ball, much less score one or even come close to touching the Red.
Lisa jumped the gun in "Conquer", so she should've been disqualified from that portion of the event. In the end, it wouldn't have mattered, but, still, ....

Best time to grow up. The 80’s/90’s were the pinnacle of film and television.
This is actually the very first episode of American Gladiators that I ever saw when I was little. I remember it for sure because of Wojo.
