I don't think OP's friend is jealous because she lost her freedom after giving birth. She really feels superior to OP. She was always a nasty person, and having a baby just brought it out. I feel sorry for that baby because she is going to ruin it's life. She will succeed in driving her husband away, too. I wish OP had stopped begging to continue their friendship sooner. OP should tell her exfriend she isn't so special because she's a mother. She has lost her damn mind. Tell her she will drive her husband away. Tell her she was always a sh*tty person and that losing OP as a friend was her loss. OP was way too nice and polite to Earth Mother Superior.
OP don’t understand that “friend” did her a big favor. I had this happen to be twice by two different “friends”. Now as a child free woman I don’t even associate, talk to or involve myself in any way with people who have kids.
I had the opposite happen to me. I was the only one in my friend group that had a kid. I got pregnant at 18 and a majority of my friends did not want me around with the exception of one still childless friend who stuck with me. I never cut her off for being childless because i am all for people being happy whether they want a child or not! In fact I consider my friend a bonus aunt and she is great with my kids
I don’t think it’s made up,there are lots of people who’s personality and views on the world do a 180 once a baby is born. Some people really just hate child free people that much that they just don’t want them in their life,which is just rubs me the wrong way I understand if some people don’t agree with other peoples preferences and beliefs,but cutting someone out of your life for not wanting kids is just feels cruel,like them being childfree could affect their life or something??
