Wood Ash

We use wood ash to improve the PH of our soils. The wood ash is a by product of making energy from wood chips . We buy the wood ash during the winter and try to have most of it stock piled on the field that we are spreading it on but with our warm winter the fields didn't freeze enough for the tractor trailers to get off the road with out getting stuck so we stockpiled it in our empty bunker silo and are hauling with our trucks now that it has thawed out.
