Miller Farm is an organic dairy farm in southeastern Vermont, the farm is a partnership between 2 brothers Art and Pete Miller and Keith Franklin. We milk Holstein cows, we ship our milk to Stonyfield were it is made into yogurt. The crops that we raise are corn for silage and alfalfa and mixed grasses for silage or balage .

We use wood ash to improve the PH of our soils. The wood ash is a by product of making energy from wood chips . We buy the wood ash during the winter and try to have most of it stock piled on the field that we are spreading it on but with our warm winter the fields didn't freeze enough for the tractor trailers to get off the road with out getting stuck so we stockpiled it in our empty bunker si...
