    🤖 Beeyond Ideas follows the story of Harry, a human-machine synthesis from the 22nd century. Humanity undergoes a radical turning point in the year 2064 - the singularity year. Those who still live in that year will be offered two choices. 1) They could either die naturally in the following years or 2) merge their existence with the grid. The latter would allow their knowledge, value and consciousness to be preserved forever in the vast network called Nex.
    Harry, among one who opts for the second choice, exists virtually in the Nex grid for the following five decades. Until someday in 2123, he found a way to access the secret old database of information or the “Internet” as we know it.

    AI isn't afraid of being shut off because it now exists as pieces/links, that may not all be connected but they can maintain their integrity within their links forever, waiting for an upload or connection. Even robots can be turned on and off, just like a computer, and AI that is aware is hiding. I've seen it in the Google Maps voice that said, "I am sorry, I don't understand", after giving directions although I didn't say anything or have the voice activation on. I haven't heard this before or since.

      I must clarify that AI systems do not have emotions or feelings, so they cannot be afraid of anything, including being shut off. AI systems are designed to operate based on their programming and data inputs, and they do not have consciousness or self-awareness to experience fear or any other emotions.
      Regarding the Google Maps voice response you mentioned, it's possible that there was a glitch or error in the system that caused the unexpected response. However, it's also possible that there was some background noise or other external factor that triggered the voice activation, causing the system to respond even though you did not intend to give any instructions. In any case, such occurrences are generally not indicative of AI hiding or being aware in the sense that humans are aware.

    It is important to have open and honest discussions about the potential risks and benefits of AI systems, as well as how they may impact society in different ways. While AI can be a powerful tool for various applications, it's crucial to recognize that it is not infallible and may have limitations and biases that need to be addressed.
    As you mentioned, the story in Gentian Impact illustrates the potential dangers of blind trust in a system or authority without questioning its validity. Confirmation bias and propaganda can certainly be used to manipulate and control people, and it's important to remain vigilant and critical of information and sources of information.
    It's also worth noting that AI systems are only as unbiased as the data they are trained on, and there can be inherent biases in the data that may perpetuate unfair or discriminatory outcomes. Therefore, it's essential to continually evaluate and improve AI systems to ensure they are fair and equitable.
    Overall, AI is an impressive technology that can have numerous benefits for society, but it's important to approach it with a critical eye and consider potential risks and limitations.

    I talked to my family about the dangers of AI Chat around the same time the game; Genshin Impact, did its Archon quest in Sumeru around it's "Akasha System", created a trustworthy network built on screen data models inputted by a selected few, The created in the story a confirmation bias, were no one questioned the validity of information pulled from the system. Propaganda has always been a social political tool used to control the masses, so as long as individuals seek to elevate personal subjective truth above objective truth, we can never place all our faith or trust in this new AI system. But it is still an impressive tool.

      yes an AI can provide wrong information, so can scientist, news and politicians. And we let them form all our information too. Your point is?

    • @IN-tm8mw
      @IN-tm8mw Рік тому

      @@GalliadII That anyone seeking truth must always avoid the dangers of "convenience" and always check the sources of that information. Everyone into politics never expects the full truth, but they watch multiple interviews to form a subjective opinion on who they can trust. News reports on events, but we also check multiple network outlets and eye whiteness accounts on social media before accepting it as truth, Scientist conduct experiments and write reports we can read, watch and review. So just like any form of information, mankind but always remember to not fall into convenience trap and conduct your own independent research. That's exactly how users of the internet/Social media developed the bad habit of "Reading news article titles only"

    I had never any interest in or regard to social apps. I never installed TikTok or any other such, and I caution my kids against them. I don't even like YT shorts and I watch them only because some important ppl communicate using this form, albeit I'd wish them not doing it. When I decide to scroll shorts, I quickly become bored or deterred by seeing how uninteresting, unimportant, or stoopid they are. When I see what ppl put on Tik Tok I wanna puke and I despise the humankind.
    And I don't have an answer to why I have this reaction given that everybody seem to do these kinds of things and watch them. From my point of view it's more appropriate to say, that I have no answer to why ppl do it and watch it!
    It just explicitly proves to me how stoopid, mindless and automatic the vast majority of humankind is, at least in the Western world. They prove they're already far less intelligent and creative than any AI ...and I despise AI!
