I will say, my five months of “experience” were absolutely miserable and bad enough for me to go to a hospital for five days, so people who act like they’re depressed don’t understand at all. If they experience it themselves, they will most definitely be unprepared.

There was some 11 year old genshin player who tried to cancel this girl that he had a crush on, because she shared a profile picture with someone else in the discord. So I went into the discord, and what I witnessed was some hilarious shit. This 11 year old kid was saying homophobic slurs and shit towards lesbians when the discord members posted screenshots of some lesbian characters in genshin kissing. It’s crazy because it’s over some freaking profile pictures.

For real, these kids claiming they’re depressed because they were sad maybe a week at most aren’t depressed. Breaking up with someone, losing a loved one or a pet, losing a job, suffering a tragedy, now that causes a bout of depression. The best way I describe it is wanting to cry knowing no one isn’t gonna care so you don’t and move on with your day and the emotion haunts you. Stay strong out there!

There's always toxic people everywhere in fanbases and that's mostly the main problem of fanbases
It’s sad that people see Gigachad in that way because of people who use them. When I originally picked up the profile pic, I did it as a reason to remind myself to be a better person but on a smaller note, not be toxic when commenting, to be open-minded, respectful and helpful to others and to constantly improve myself in a way that will have a positive impact in the world. Shame people use it to boost their ego instead of lifting others up who need it the most.
P.S. The positive comments you guys have given me remind me why I do what I do and the future I fight for. It’s your positivity that gives me the strength to keep going and keep striving for better. I’m grateful for all of you, Kings and Queens.

I've been struggling with it for years and it definitely ain't just being sad. It's exhausting and it's one of the hardest things I've ever gone through and I'm currently trying to get the proper help I need but it's really difficult. Some of my own family judges me for having depression and it makes me feel even worse about myself, guilty and hatred I already have for myself and they believe it's a choice when it's definitely not. It really upsets that there's people that would want to have depression to be quirky and trendy when it's not.
Advice for depression: laughter is the best medicine. [if you laugh more often, your depression will eventually weaken. It helps abundantly with depression and it lifts your mood. As someone who had depression for 2 years I know what it’s like]. So number 1: Laugh, heartily.

I use the Gigachad Profile Picture not becuase I want to seen as a "Gigachad" or "Sigma male", I just look up to him even if his not real. Helped me to lose weight and push myself to be the better version of myself.
