The parking sensors module or control unit in a Sprinter 316 CDI can be located in various places depending on the specific model year and configuration. However, it is commonly found in one of the following locations:
Rear Bumper: The parking sensors control module is often mounted on the inside of the rear bumper. You may need to access it by removing the bumper or accessing it from underneath the vehicle.
Trunk or Cargo Area: In some models, particularly those with rear cargo areas, the module can be found inside the trunk or cargo compartment. It may be located behind trim panels or near the rear of the vehicle.
Under the Dashboard: In certain Sprinter models, the module may be located under the dashboard or behind the instrument panel. This location may require some disassembly of the dashboard components to access.
Engine Compartment: While less common, some Sprinter models may have the parking sensors control module located in the engine compartment. Look for a black box or module with wiring connections.
Under the Seats: In a few cases, the module may be installed under the driver or passenger seats. You might need to remove the seats to access it.
It's important to note that the exact location of the parking sensors module can vary between model years and configurations, so it's advisable to consult the vehicle's service manual or wiring diagrams specific to your Sprinter 316 CDI to pinpoint its location accurately. Additionally, if you are unsure about locating or working with the module, it's recommended to seek the assistance of a qualified mechanic or technician who is familiar with Sprinter vehicles.
