As an American, I now contend that the revolution was very much a civil war in many respects. We had Englishmen, Welshmen, Scotsmen and Irishmen shooting at other Englishmen, Welshmen, Scotsmen and Irishmen. John Paul Jones represented America and Scotland, and he had the good sense to target a pub during a raid! 😂
