Ive ran these with the juststock G3 Hobbywing ESC with good success , no fans on either the motor or the esc in 2wd , and fan on the esc in 4wd. Its only 60A , but so far so good. But I would upgrade to a pro in my 4wd if possible. Maybe down the road.
Depends on what you are doing with the rc. This would not be a good choice for racing because the esc is sensorless. A sensored esc gives you more control of the throttle. Its a good esc to get you going though, and it comes with the AE rtr kits.
I have the most experience in testing motors used for 1/10 onroad racing. The best motors I've tested are from: R1 Wurks, Trinity, and then the flavor of the day between Motive, Team Scream Racing, and Fantom. For indoor onroad I'm partial to motors that come with a high torque rotor.
@@TheNewnan3 I have not tested any of the most recent Tekins. I am thinking of doing a motor compare series of either 17.5 or 21.5 motors and it would be great to get the latest version tested.
My preference is to get the pro model esc's that can handle over 120amps. Each brand would have one like a Hobbywing G2 pro or tekin rsx. The higher amp capability means the esc has more FETs in it and will run way cooler. In stock racing the esc should not need a fan with an esc like this.

Would the Reedy SC-600 BL ESC work with this motor? Thank you for the great video!
