@COURTTV, how hard can it be to provide critical details like, ADD Rx drug's? You've secured a conversion between the immediate nuclear triad, and I'm sure somewhere the parents thought that Aiden had some sort of "disorder", and thus sent him to be diagnosed, and medicated. I've been to a Maximum Security Prison, and some of the worst violence I've seen was after some dudes sniffed Ritalin, Adderal, and of course good ole crank! Thanks!

I just noticed how "similar" this young man looks like his mother, and not father. Same hair style, same demeanor at times. His hand on the table becomes flat when she speaks, or open and like want of receiving something when father speaks.
He is devastated but not why we probably think.
He is seriously disturbed but knows right from wrong. If he is " rehabilitated" someday, he'll always carry around what he did as no big deal.
He shows no remorse about his friend only himself.
      Imo

I dont think the problem is always bad parenting, it's not knowing HOW to parent correctly or WHY you must set rules, discipline your kid, and hold them accountable for bad behavior. The biggest problem is non-accountability, if adults cant take responsibility how would they teach their kids the value of responsibility.
I dont believe in spanking, but i believe in proper punishment for bad behavior, kids are not your friends when they are under 21...you owe it to them to raise them correctly so they can have a bright and successful future with all the right tools to tackle all its problems. Strength and mental health comes from true grit and the ability to fail over and over again without losing your optimism.

The way he is so calm and collected, especially at his age, and just so indifferent, he was just born this way. It wasn't anyone's fault. His parents didn't teach him to murder. Even if they weren't the best, and we dont know, I bet they did the best they could do in their circumstances. No amount of therapy or intervention can fix this in a person, he's broken, he was born broken. He wanted to do this, he fantasized about it, talked about it with excitement. Counseling doesn't make that go away. Stop thinking every bad person fell thru the cracks or could have been fixed if they had only had some therapy. People need to stop blaming everyone but the perpetrator. He knew what he was doing. He premeditated it. And it's his fault alone, even if he is a kid. He was still old enough to know better and kids don't go around stabbing people to death because their parents got divorced or didn't pay enough attention to them.

These parents knew from the beginning of this video that it was their son that killed that girl. They knew and their immediate reaction was not to come down on him like shocked and horrified and beyond disappointed parents, but to coach him to get through the impending interrogation! Very strange behavior for parents who believe their kid is innocent. Their behavior in that room is very telling about what kind of parents they were. Their first thought is to coach their delinquent son to keep his story straight so the police don't look closer at him as a suspect. They knew in that moment what their son had done and they were conspiring to try and get him off the suspect list. They should be ashamed of themselves.

As a parent, there is NO way I would treat my child who murdered a 13 year old girl, 110 stab wounds like he just stole candy from a store. OMG when are parents to blame for focusing on themselves, refusing grow up, thinking your child is your 'friend and confidant", blaming teachers for "not doing their job".... etc. The first thing I would say to my child is "sit up straight, you are now an adult, behave like one". Parents: You are not a Tik-tocker, you are not their best friend. You ARE responsible for everything your child does. Grow up and take a good look at your parenting style, review school reports and recommendations from the past. Take action not pilates.

The parents are in shock. They aren’t bored. The fact that the dad is yawning is a sign of the level of stress he’s feeling as his body is seeking out oxygen. The questions they’re asking and the comments they’re making are their brains trying to rationalize what happened. In their shock & disbelief, they’re in denial about what’s actually unfolding right in front of them. Their son just brutally murdered a girl, and they can’t wrap their minds around that possibility. The brain wants to protect itself and cushion itself from a blow, and accepting that your child is a murderer is the worst blow imaginable. The casual demeanor of their son is what’s throwing them off and hoping that he really is innocent. Anyone here who believes they would be “better” in that room with the horrors that the parents are dealing with are making me roll my eyes. We all want to protect our children. Deep down they probably know he’s guilty, but they can’t face it yet. The son is the most interesting one here. He’s completely checked out and answering questions as if they were asking him if he left his shoes in the hallway. He keeps glancing at them as if he’s checking to see if they believe him, but other than that he’s the one acting as if he’s bored and ready to go home. There’s a huge disconnect here. It’s chilling. I will also add….the parents are stupid for not shutting things down and getting a lawyer. The kid belongs in a correctional facility, but I never would have allowed my kid to answer questions without a lawyer.
