If your loved one has MGUS, not to worry. It may not develop into anything serious. I would make sure they go see a myeloma specialist once a year to keep an eye on it so you don't have to stress about it.

@@jamesgray2353 well only 20% of patients with MGUS actually proceed to active myeloma with the chance being about 1% per year, so sure it "may not" proceed and actually probably won't. Still better not to have MGUS then the opposite, that's for sure!

My mother did a bone marrow biopsy yesterday and they found lytic lesion in her left pelvis. Is this a sign of Multiple Myeloma? I am very worried about her health. My mother's WBC, RBC, Platelets are normal but her protein is high, globulin is high, and albumin is low. My mother also has Lupus and Rheumatoid arthritis. Please answer my question. I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm not a doctor but I think you should ask your mom doctor and continue to keep asking questions ask about everything you're feeling!!

I'm not a doctor either, but would ask your Mom's doctor like the other poster suggested. These comments are probably not monitored and they can't give out medical advice online not being your Mom's doctor. Best to you both! 🙏🕊️

Why aren't there immunotherapies for this condition to kill the cancerous cells before they could progress?
