As you can tell I don't exactly know what I'm doing when it comes to making your own clothes but this video was to help others with ideas for a costume and show you that you don't need to be an expert to come up with your own costume.

I found an easier way to do the top... I made the tube top (except I sewed it to make it a bit more form-fitting), then took print-outs of all the hearts face cards and pasted them on. It ended up being really cute in the end! Thanks for the tutorial :D

I also picked up the harley quinn tights at a halloween store. They have hearts and black diamonds on them. Made wrist-let tutu's. Same concept , but on a hair tie. She has some white elbow length gloves, knee high black boots, and a white boa I stapled the cards of hearts all over. Then made a royal flush with the hearts and glue gunned together a fan. She will trick of treat with my bag I picked up at Busch Gardens last year -Covered in red roses. Super Excited!

I think with the top, you should have made a faint heart design on the front, and cut the cards to fit accordingly!

I used your crown idea to make my daughters crown. I used modge podge around the edges of the "peaks" and DOUSED it with gold glitter. In walmart, right next to the foam sticky paper, are glittery hearts in pink, red, and silver. So, on my crown are the red and silver ones. I had some extra card stock paper I used to conduct trials before I cut out my only red and messed it up. Once I got it right I used it as a template. Looks great actually. --thanks

I think I will use your tutorial to make a queen of hearts tutu skirt, but for the top, I'll go for something simpler, like a white top, and glue a red heart or something like that. Thanks so much, your tutorial is the best I found.
