Wow. I am so impressed by your collection and passion for the legendary G-Shock! What a fantastic thing to see my brother! They oldest G in my collection and probably my favourite of all time is the GW 9200 (though not quite vintage) Riseman which was released in June 2008. Good luck my friend on your quest and make sure to keep us updated on your progress..
Thanks for the comment. I love the Riseman as well. I regret selling the white and all blue version of the Riseman. Oh well... Will definitely update on my progress :)
I bought the Hero, DW-5200 in October 1984 after a football match between Chelsea v Watford, when Watford were one of the best teams in England. It cost me £45.....bargain considering I'm wearing it as I write this in March 2024..... nearly 40 years later ! The watch module and crystal are immaculate, but I am on my second bezel and second strap. This second bezel is starting to get shiny and has a small bits missing, but it's not too bad. I need to get a new bezel from Brazil, soon. Thanks for all the information.
Mine was the DW-8100. Resin and metal case. Electroluminescent lighting. It was big and bold, yet surprisingly light. Lasted almost 20 years. The module still worked but the resin fell off in chunks.
Plenty of custom bezel and straps available today for the DW-81XX. It used to be really hard to get, as it was handmade. But now someone has produced these bezels/straps in large quantities.
My actual favourite G-Shock actually pre-dates the G-Shock, but is very much in the G style, it’s the DW-1000. Would love to own one again, but everyone is asking silly money and they are all out of my price range.
The perfect bible was from a bookstore in Japan. Usually i will check for used books with G-Shock keyword, every now and then something shows up. Recently i added 3 more books, did a quick unboxing on my Facebook page. Check it out
i got it from my local bookstore when it was launched. If you are looking for it, try ebay or fb groups on G-Shock. These were limited to 2500 copies and sold out quickly.

@@Gsyoku Ok thanks mate! I saw one on ebay but it's not cheap.
The original price was around 12USD, now its around 50USD. Only 2500 copies were printed, hence the scarcity
Una locura increíble gran colección
my favorite G-shock vintage got to to be the GE-2000B-7V designed by pininfarina.
GE-2000B-7V looks very interesting! Not a conventional design for a G-Shock watch. Thanks for sharing :)
Where you find that book?Like the video and watches.👍
Got it from Japan. Watch this video here, ISBN numbers are mentioned as well. ua-cam.com/video/TMEdWOzgCuc/v-deo.html

Got it from my friend. He purchased from a custom bezel maker in Indonesia.
G-Shock Dw5600E-1V on the wrist, my favorite!!! (1996)
@Douglas Pantera Absolutely! Like an Evolution "Dw5600E-Evo" eheh, plus a REM (reminder) feature like the old Dw5600C from 1987!!
When is your next giveaway?
I don't have a vintage g-shock watch but I think one with MB (5-6) must be fine, the precise time for me is essential
@Douglas Pantera no phone
Nice video 😊😁
Thanks!
