Prairie is plenty pretty you just need to get down on your hands and knees to see it. "Anyone can love the mountains, it takes soul to live the prarie."
The culinary scene in WY leaves something to be desired. There are a few good restaurants in Casper, and very friendly merchants. It's getting better, but nothing like that of a big city. But CPR has great cross country skiing. I like the airport call letters. That's what you need when you land here in a cross wind.
One pro in Wyoming is that people don't commit crimes because the winters are so cold that they don't want to do anything... also I guess it could be a con but it's up to you
@@wyomingadventures I feel like that's not true. My understanding is that non-residents simply can't carry concealed without a recognized permit, but I don't think you need to establish more than current residence even for that.
@@wyomingadventures "Wyoming Now Allows Constitutional “Permit-less” Carry For Non-Residents. Today July 1, 2021, a change to Wyoming's constitutional carry law goes into effect. Before today, carrying a firearm without a permit in Wyoming was only afforded to residents of the state."
Wyoming has 7 National Parks. John D Rockefeller, Fort Laramie, Fossil Butte, and Big Horn Canyon. Yellowstone is a Super Volcano. And we have many National Monuments. 2 seasons winter from September to April/May. Wyoming is very windy state. We have a very short summer. Tourist towns Cody,Jackson, Sheridan and Buffalo. Laramie the only 4 year college in the state. Casper, Riverton and Sheridan 2 year colleges. Just trying to help from a long time resident. Taco John's and JC Penney's all started in Wyoming.
Lol. It doesn’t snow in Wyoming, it blows over from Idaho. Every time I’ve been in Wyoming the wind is always blowing. From Casper to Yellowstone it’s blowing and yes it is damn cold in Jackson Hole and Dubois. Evanston to Fort Bridger, the Three Sisters are constantly being closed. But you do have the best fly fishing in the Rockies.
Lol New York City would probably blow your mind. I had been to Philadelphia a bunch and even DC a couple of times. But going to NYC the first time left me jaw dropped. So many people and Huge buildings.

Wyoming sounds like a lower 48 version of Alaska. It's very spacious, not really any big cities and gun culture is pretty big. I never'd been to either of those states, but I have a sister living in Alaska and she tells me it's exactly like that. I find it kinda of intresting that Wyoming dosen't have a huge city like Colorado does despite both being in the mountain west region.
Yeah, ive thought of Wyoming as basically alaska too. The only reason Denver exists is because of gold, and then the railroad, or else Colorado would probably be more sparse than Wyoming.
Only sports out there are likely high school, collegiate teams. There should be at least 1 minor league athletic team out there for folks to be able to go and watch. Hopefully, there are community service activities, libraries, etc. in the cities which are over there.
Taco John's? You can't be serious, that place is horrible. I had to quit going there, it kept making me sick and their food has no flavor. They do have good iced tea tho.
No Californians please you guys try to move here and change us. Unless you are a Republican than you would do fine here. And if you don't believe check it out
My wife and I are moving up there soon, my new job calls for it. She's a good ol' country girl so she's fine but the closest I've gotten to that kind of shit is being a ranch hand other than that I'm a normal guy from the greater Los Angeles are. How much of a culture shock am i in for?
I had to double take on the Rocky Mountain Oysters. They're cow testicles? So you're visiting the place, don't ask questions about the food you're eating. Don't forget to bring your Pepto Bismol!
And they just upgraded the buses hahaha, yeah unfortunately I lived close enough, according to the school I better be there because I could walk if the buses were not running that day. If you live in city limits good luck on that snowday bud.
I live in central Florida. What the fuck is snow? We have two seasons. One is 2 months long and temp average just under 90. Then we have 10 month long over 90. Technically we have 3 seasons. Three months of dancing over 100 degrees. You never see our weather men say that nasty word. One hundred and...... According to you all it never breaks 99 degrees here.

There are pros; and cons in all fifty states!
I'm in Texas and we are your opposite. We get 2 summers. A regular 90 degree summer and a blazing hot above 100 degree summer. No snow.... ever.
I'm in Dallas and we get snow......sometimes :)

Chicago gets cold and they have plenty of murders even during winter. But summer is much more of a killing party there. Over 600 last year.

Is wyoming as laid back as most people say. Its actually the top 20 happiest states to live in
In Northern New England they have winter and road construction as well

Why do so many people find prairies ugly? I find them beautiful--a lot prettier than deciduous forests (where I live)!
