Every few months I go through what I've labeled the "Tornado Phase," where, for some reason, I hyperfixate on all things tornado, and every time I go through this, I ALWAYS come to watch Hank's videos. I get very excited every time it's tornado season because I know he'll be uploading new content, and he never disappoints.
@@AugustSlippedAway15 I am the exact same. When a tornado or tornado spawning weather happens I get absolutely terrified. But then I flock to videos such as this with avid fascination
Pecos Hank is unlike any other storm chaser. He doesnt scream and shout at the sight of one, he stays calm ( I dont know how!! ) Thank you hank, for giving us such good content to enjoy!
Most chasers are talking to the stream/radio or getting clips to sell to news who don't care about audio. Hank is trying to get the shot for this channel and he likes clean audio. He also chases solo which helps because he isnt worried about a second person or having a second person worried about the pair.
😄 If it looks like it ain't moving in either direction. That means it's heading straight for you!. . . or away from you😆- But wise man say; if it doesn't look like it's moving, don't assume it's heading away from you, always assume that it's heading straight for YOU!🙂😨

I know, right? I've been a storm spotter in Tornado Alley for going on 30 years, observed many tornado-warned storms, seen 100s of funnels... only see 6 tornadoes in my life... largest being an EF3.
Pecos Hank. #1 storm chaser in the US. No fuss. No screaming. No yelling. No yelling “Debris debris!”. No yelling “Look tornado!”. Like we can’t see it to. Just pertinent information delivered in an easy going affable manner with small bits of humour mixed in.
I always feel as if I'm riding alongside you the entire time. Always happy to see you make it back safe and sound. I really appreciate the effort you put into your content. Much love bro.
Pecos Hank is simply the best storm chaser on the planet, no one else even comes close. His commentary and video editing are first rate and this good-hearted fellow even takes the time to rescue small animals caught in the path of these deadly storms. I will continue to pray for his safety while enjoying these beautiful videos. WHAT A CLASS ACT!
@Alan Hall Awesome comment - You said what I feel too. Pecos Hank is an Awesome human being and his videos are a chance for everyone to see what being a "good person" looks, does, and sounds like.
I love that you included the incentives for each tornado, really helps people who would never even DREAM of tempting fate like this understand the thought process and reasoning, and really get a view into the mind of people who take these kind of risks. Its like for that moment you can really FEEL like a stormchaser. Amazing footage as always! Edit: I had not finished watching the video when I made this comment but holy mother of Moses that final tornado so close like that is unlike anything I have ever seen... You are amazing at what you do, all the best to you and your chasing!
That last closeup footage of the roof being ripped off of the building is hands down the best footage I've ever seen Hank!. Was thrilled by it the first time you posted it, but seeing it again it hasn't lost anything...you're the best Hank!
Iv been watching pecos since I was 10. I’m 18 now. And he is honestly been through it all with me even tho he doesn’t know lol. He even liked one of my comments it honestly made my whole world. One time I got my class at school to get into his channel. It was awesome being able to watch something at school that I was so passionate about
The shot of the tornado weaving in and out of the wind turbines is perhaps one of my favorite in this video. Tornadoes are simply awe-inspiring, commanding a respectful fear wherever they go. They can kill easily and it is a travesty when they do, but one cannot deny they are just so intriguing and eye-catching. How would you not want to stop and just stare at or film one? I am not sure if there is any other force or power on earth quite like that. Even other natural disasters like volcanic eruptions or something still feel like they belong on earth. Tornadoes are like some other-worldly thing that visits our planet from time to time to wreak havoc and remind us they are out there, yet no one storm is alike. If this is what we have on earth, just imagine what some of the other planets in the universe have to put up with weather-wise. I've been in tornado-warned storms before, but never had the opportunity to see one clearly with my own eyes. Is it weird that I want to someday?
I thought that too..and I live where there are no tornadoes (rural upstate NY). In 2020 we had an EF1 tornado...that's all it was..it came up the hill over my house and down the road. Maybe a mile or two. EF1 but it was fucking terrifying. It was a wall of grey moving up the hill directly for my little farm house. Shit was flying around outside, trees snapped and a few old pines completely uprooted. We ran around in the house looking out from window to window in complete disbelief😂 I'm laughing now but every storm we get now, my kids are scared and I admit I get freaked out. We get crazy wind as it is. But that day we'll never forget. First summer in our dream home.
While I miss chasing tornadoes, I wish we had the cameras 40 years ago that we have today. Now I don't have the opportunity to travel around, so I have to be content to ride with you. Keep up the great work you do Hank.
Every upload on this channel feels like christmas. The interesting topic of weather and tornadoes, the editing, the cinematography, the commentary, the great music and Hank's personality makes this channel one of my absolute favorites. After a new video I always end up binge watching weather related content on UA-cam for like a month straight.
I absolutely relate to the final part of your comment. I don't care if I've seen the tornado vids 100 times before. I'll still head down the Tornado Rabbit Hole of UA-cam and love every second.
I had to stop the video so I can have my husband watch it with me! Every year or two we binge watch your yearly videos. A real pleasure the way you narrate your videos, save the animals and reptiles!! So cool! Those parts are as awesome as the Tornadoes!🌪️
That shot starting at 7:55 is one of my favourites of yours. Mesmerising rolling grass and one gloomy looking tornado approaching, amazingly atmospheric.

The fact that hank has been in enough close call to make a top 10, it’s just crazy. Also the fact that he is so chill when he is almost inside the tornado goes to show how cool he is

Always love watching your videos. Being a houston native, I wish I could go chase with the team you have. The knowledge between all of you is amazing and insightful. Storms like these only begin to highlight mother nature's beauty and unpredictability.
I think most of the subscribers on this channel would pay a pretty penny to get to sit shotgun for a few days with Hank. I know a couple of chasers will do tours and let you do that, but I don't think Hank does. Might be worth considering. :O
Been here since 2012, never went away. Always caught myself dreaming about the American plains and the ferocious beauty of her nature of her storms. Thanks for all these vids Hank, here's a cheer to many more!
The best storm chaser, hands down. Most are kids, jacked on Red Bull and convenience store snacks, screaming their heads off because they’re in over their heads.
Reed timmer acts like that butt hes a pro. hes just annoying. i like pecos hank because hes calm, chill, smart, and his videos are well produced too, and his music is good as well. Just love him as a person and love his work. I hope to meet him someday and maybe even go chasing
Being a category 4 hurricane survivor, the videos stir mixed emotions for me. One one hand, the tornadoes are extremely impressive and leave me awestruck. They are fascinating. On the other hand, the footage brings back bad memories and pain. I know what it’s like to deal with the damage and associated stress.
This was insane. You deserve way more than $200 for that footage. That's at least 1 to 2 GRAND. Just on the effort to capture the footage, the gas, food, lodging, and the occupational hazard of dying from a tornado.
With everything you’ve taught and shared with us, I don’t recall you mentioning any associated smells giving you an early warning. The 2 tornadoes that affected me both had a weird earthy, “wormy”, and burnt plastic, charged odor in the air a couple of hours prior. Have you ever noticed an odd smell in the air prior to having one touch down near you? Just curious.✨
Hecos Pank is the real people's champion. You can tell he's just a nice genuine dude. Been obsessed with tornadoes since I saw raw footage on VHS when I was a wee lad. 26 years later and I can safely say it's my greatest passion. To have tornado chaser ambassadors like Hank makes me happy to be part of such a great community. Love y'all!
Hey hank! Just wanted to say I love your videos and I appreciate not only the time and effort of chasing, but the research, editing, and all other aspects that make your videos unlike anyone else’s. A few weeks ago I was suffering from an extremely severe panic attack and I could not calm down, it was going on for hours and I kept trying to find a way to calm myself down so I could go to bed. It wasn’t until around 4 am when I put in one of your videos and it calmed me down enough to the point where I could sleep. I know you didn’t produce your videos with helping anxiety disorder in mind but they really are enthralling enough to help! Thanks again for all the content.
Hello Jack. I'm glad that pesky panic attack finally ended. Dr. Sam Harris has some interesting things to say about anxiety here on UA-cam. Maybe give him a whirl. Take care amigo.
I have MS and a peculiar manic disorder secondary to it. I don't have panic attacks, but I can understand. Substitute fear with anger, and maybe that can paint a picture of my difficulties? I can imagine getting that sweet shot and thinking, "Gotcha, you son of a b****!". It's pretty therapeutic.
Grats on the 1 mil! Been loving your content for years, always a treat when you drop a new video! You're literally the David Attenbouough of Tornadoes, as you never fail to give a deep insight to what's happening, giving us spectacular videos of these monsters up close. Keep doing what you're doing, thanks for everything you do for us
I recently endured a tornado. I was lucky it was an EF2, but we rarely get tornadoes here and no one was prepared. I watch your videos a lot, so I was able to realize and get my family and extended family to safety. It was really crazy, especially since we were driving. I don't think I would've been able to do what I did in that scenario without you. Thank you for the 4 years and counting that I've been watching you, Hank
Back when I was like 12 or 13 (I'm 36 now) my parent's neighborhood got hit by a tornado in an area where tornadoes are not exactly common (30-40 minutes north of Charlotte, NC). Luckily it ended up only being like an F-1, but ho-LEE shit is it scary when you don't know that beforehand and you're watching the funnel cloud coming straight towards you! It passed directly over our house and it really did sound exactly like a freight train... I can't even begin to imagine how much louder a stronger tornado would've been! The craziest part was when we came out of the house, there was so much hail everywhere, it looked like it had snowed or something… That and all of the snakes that were everywhere! I guess the torrential downpour of rain had driven them all up from underground, but there were giant snakes absolutely everywhere. I've never heard anybody else mention this detail as part of their tornado experience so I don't know this was just unique to my situation, but either way it was gross!
We had an EF1 (baby tornado, I know😂) in 2020. Its super windy on our mountain and I always reassured my kids..we don't get tornadoes here. Then it came. My house was built in 1780. And we'd just bought it. I kept saying, "This house has stood here for over 200 years. This storm will fuck off somewhere else!!" I was so angry, I wouldn't go in the bathroom and hide. I was terrified but refused to give up my home. it was absolutely terrifying..I can't imagine a stronger one. Omg. It ripped the roof halfway off the house up the road.😫

Some people ask why people do this but it’s to help save people. To improve radars, To get the info to the public quicker. These people and this person are absolute angels, I pray that you and every other storm chaser accomplish everything and anything you’d wanna accomplish, it’s so obvious these people care so much for everybody, for this guy even animals. As a person who barely survived the Joplin tornado i can’t thank you enough ❤
Hello Pecos, I've been wanting to give you a big thank you for being yourself and for inspiring my autistic 6 year old son. He absolutely loves you and your tornado videos and he watches them every night and every day. He has learned so much from you about tornadoes, it's truly incredible, he tells me he wants to be a tornado chaser like you ☺️. Thank you and bless you greatly and stay safe! big hugs from your fans in NY.

As always, great job Hank with the chasing, videography and storytelling. Stay safe! On a side note after watching so many close-ups of tornadoes, they really do seem more like a living creature than a weather phenomenon.
I occasionally dream extremely vivid dreams with tornadoes 🌪. I’ve had about 5 or six and last night was one of those dreams. So bizarre. The fact that I’m in Canada and I’ve never seen one makes it all the more mysterious.
I have those dreams too. half the time I get lifted by the tornado. in those dreams it is often fun but also horrifying. to be flying up in a tornado without the real danger of death but it feeling all so real
Always appreciate the humor you bring to this crazy hobby we share. My daughter and I hope to meet you someday, and we will hopefully cross paths out chasing soon. Keep doing what you love Sir!
This is hands down the best footage I have ever seen of tornadoes! Pecos Hank is 1 of a kind! I don't know how you stay so calm when you are so close to disaster. God bless you and stay safe !!
English Subtitles: "When a burrito is in the area, normal people take shelter." Normal people: *OMFG NO IT'S THE DREADED SKY BURRITO! QUICKLY TAKE COVER!*
Wow! I just want to say- thank you for risking your life almost every day to capture footage of these strange phenomenons! Even though I’ve only been following your channel for 2 years, your channel made me want to study these freaks of nature as much as I could. Several years ago I would stay inside and hide under a blanket during a Thunderstorm, but now I sit next to the window, eagerly waiting for a flash of light outside as I explain to myself how lightning works. So thank you :) *i think I made this comment too long-*
This is the first time I've ever seen a tornado that up close & personal before. Wow! It's so horrific & intense to see something so enormous & powerful right in front of you... as I was watching this it dawned on me that a few of the tornadoes you filmed are quite beautiful. Thanks for capturing what most of us don't get a chance to see! L. Isgrig in Northern, CA - 01/24/23
What I like about Pecos Hank is He's always calm never screaming during his chases and he doesn't sensationalize what he sees. There's another weather chaser out there that was trying to tell us In the Buffalo snowstorm, it was a seven foot snowfall yet the snow wasn't even covering cars.. No need to Bs when people can see stuff with their own eyes!
Something I'm curious about. Do storm chasers tend to use heavier vehicles or modify them so they have extra weight and can resist strong winds more effectively? I imagine there'd be some tradeoffs in fuel efficiency and other areas. And I don't know if the benefits would even be all that significant. If anyone has some insight I'd love to know more about the vehicular considerations.
I only know of two vehicles that have been modified to be heavier, and they’re both armored intercept vehicles. I believe one is called the Dominator, and the other is the TIV. Their fuel economy is dreadful, so they’re hauled on trailers to areas where tornado producing storms have been predicted and then unloaded to do the intercepting. I imagine a roll cage and maybe a more secure harness wouldn’t be a bad investment in case the car gets tossed, but being thrown isn’t the only danger tornadoes pose. They turn debris into dangerous projectiles.
The shape of a vehicle affects more than weight does. Semi's tend to tip over easily in high winds despite their weight due to being tall and having a large surface area for the wind to catch dead on. My guess would be that crossovers would be what chasers prefer because they are more aerodynamic than trucks and suv's yet are also taller than a standard car which comes in handy in those unpaved roads.
Mr. Hank, you're the (very) best at not only capturing these beautiful creations, but also educating us. As much as we respect and appreciate your work, we also wish you and yours safety. Live to capture the next one. THANK YOU PECOS HANK!!
Pecos, thank you not only for this today, i had a bad day and it kicked my butt, but i saw your video come across my feed and never been more relaxed or brought back to my center. I lost my Dad last year, i binge watched your channel and it got me through a really tough time. Its not just the incredible footage you capture or the education you deliver in your videos about storms or atmospheric phenoma during a storm (Referring to the Sprites, what an amazing happening that i never knew existed until i seen it in your channel), but its your Candor and Wholesome Nature that draws me back to you over and over again. Thank You from the bottom of my heart for just being you my man. Many Blessings on your Journeys and Always Peace Love Happiness. #PecosDaMan
I have a couple questions, Does the speed of rotation determine the speed of the tornado? Does the rotation have to be fast to spawn a tornado? Is the speed of the rotation also factored in when determining the strength? As in does a faster rotation make a tornado stronger?
Hi! I'm not an expert, just a lifelong enthusiast. I think I can take a crack at your questions (to be taken with a grain of salt! 🙂) 1. The parent storm is the main factor determining a tornado's speed from point A to point B. 2. The processes that spawn a tornado are also responsible for increasing its rotation speed (I think simultaneously.) After horizontal vorticity near the surface has been tilted vertical by the updraft of a passing (supercell) thunderstorm, if the processes of tornadogenesis do their thing and spawn a tornado, they also stretch and constrict it, which increases its rotation. * This is a very stripped down version of one of, if not *the* most cited theories; despite over seven (official) decades of diligent study by scores of dedicated scientists, tornadogenesis stubbornly remains a poorly understood phenomena. 3. Officially, no. (In the U.S.) The overall strength of a tornado is determined solely by the damage it does per the Enhanced Fujita Scale. 3a. Faster rotation makes a tornado stronger, but the speed it moves from point A to point B is also a major player when it comes to damage left behind. For example, the '97 Jarrell Texas F5 tornado is legendary (NOT in a good way) for the type of damage it caused. What made it so devastating was its forward speed slowing to 5-10 mph right before it entered a neighborhood at its max width of 3/4 of a mile. Estimates of the time it remained over each house were 1-3 minutes; nearly everything was granulated and incorporated into the tornado, which added an effect likened to sustained sandblasting to its destructive force along with the more typical shrapnel sized debris. Which essentially turned the Double Creek Estates into a horrific, excruciatingly slow creeping blender/sander the size of the local atmosphere.
@@Charlestonthecool41 Thanks for the info, they are utterly fascinating, I dont live in the states but would like to go and do a little chasing from a distance, try and hookup with someone who knows what theyre doing.
@@johncoleman6927 My pleasure! You said it, they are utterly fascinating. For me, it's an amalgamation of terror, fascination, and awe. I got bit by the tornado bug at age seven. I was yanked out of bed (and from a sound sleep) by the back of my pajamas, thrown under dad's arm while at a dead run with the rest of my family trying to reach the basement, and hearing/feeling something crash through the roof into the living room milliseconds after everyone cleared that area.(It was our massive oak tree, former resident of the front yard.) We lived in KC at the time, and found out later it wasn't a tornado, but a straight line wind event. (The 7 Jun 1982 derecho) Tornado or not, it did the trick! We live in south KC now, and the last tornado I (kinda) saw was the Lawrence/Linwood EF4 in May, 2019. It was a giant, rain-wrapped mess, but easy enough to find (and keep WELL south of) by taking hwy 56, a straight shot due west from my home in Gardner. Where are you from?
@@Charlestonthecool41 high speed can also increase damage. I heard somewhere that the western Kentucky tornado had winds 200+ mph on the south side. And it makes complete sense. That’s the direction that the already fast winds are rotating and if you add up it’s fast forward speed it’s way more. So the southern side of tornadoes usually should have more intense winds and the northern side less. So both ends of the tornado movement speed spectrum have more intense damage for completely different reasons. Tornadoes are pretty neat.
Love these tornado videos. I’m able to see tornados in the safety of my own home. Im the kind of person that prepares a tornado kit of my valuables in advance and have my eyes on the weather all day lol
For nearly all of my life I've been terrified of tornadoes. But you Pecos Hank, make me see the beauty of this deadly dance. You are so calm and you have such respect for these storms. And the Little critters in the road you find along the way. 😀
I used to have nightmares from 1967 to maybe up until a few years ago. The trauma of the day I was in school (first grade) in northern IL about 20 miles from Belvidere (where I had relatives) with sirens going off all day and night stuck with me for a long time. I finally got over it as I no longer have nightmares but I still dread that siren.
#4/5 was all but literally in my backyard in Abilene, KS. Watched the base of it, 3 miles away, as it drew a 40mph inflow in first from the SE then moving to the SW as it passed. 26 homes damaged or destroyed, 1 injury. Had a friend unable to find the last of 15 cattle killed. Later found it under a big cottonwood that had been lifted up, roots and all, cow thrown in hole, and tree put back in hole on top of the cow. Another 2k# cow was found dead, 30 feet up in the fork of a cottonwood tree where it had been wedged.
Thanks for another great presentation, Hank! It’s a real treat when you show up on my UA-cam feed. Some amazing stuff you captured on the road. Keep up the great work!!!
Nothing is more deserving of the word "awesome" than the last 1 minute of this footage. You Sir are literally sitting at arms length from a tornado. A...MAZING

No screaming here because Hank is a PRO !
Hank asked the question, A,B,C or D. D is my answer, all of the above.
Most chasers are talking to the stream/radio or getting clips to sell to news who don't care about audio. Hank is trying to get the shot for this channel and he likes clean audio.
He also chases solo which helps because he isnt worried about a second person or having a second person worried about the pair.

I like when Hank knows he gets too close and follows it with "my wife is going to kill me".
Thats because hes married to tornadoes.
😄 If it looks like it ain't moving in either direction. That means it's heading straight for you!. . . or away from you😆- But wise man say; if it doesn't look like it's moving, don't assume it's heading away from you, always assume that it's heading straight for YOU!🙂😨

Don't worry, I also want to some day
I must shamefully admit I stood under a spinning cloud during a storm hoping to see one form lol
Imagine if the wind turbines could actually capture some of that energy, the state would be set for the whole year😂
Since you are in the Northeast, I hope that means you have a basement.
While I miss chasing tornadoes, I wish we had the cameras 40 years ago that we have today. Now I don't have the opportunity to travel around, so I have to be content to ride with you. Keep up the great work you do Hank.

And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;
And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;
And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;
And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;
And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:
And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of The Holy Ghost.
Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of The Holy Ghost.
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.«

Once in a lifetime to witness first hand nature at it's full life controlling power. Not enough thanks goes out to storm chasers and weather trackers.
I just love this guy! He’s smart, careful, and seems like a kind-hearted man. I love how he saves animals in the path of a storm.😊
12:52: _"my wife is gonna kill me!"_ Sounds like the least of the problems at that moment.
I’m a girl but if you do that, your wife would quite literally kill you💀💀
Nah man, unlike the tornado, he definitely ain't escaping his wife's powerful fury.

Man those "Burritos" are something serious!
I have dreams about them too! Fairly frequently, actually
Always appreciate the humor you bring to this crazy hobby we share. My daughter and I hope to meet you someday, and we will hopefully cross paths out chasing soon. Keep doing what you love Sir!
It’s not a hobby for him.

Wow that last one is unbelievable. What an amazing capture!
11:50 You can actually SEE the trees being obscured by the fog of the tornado. It is visibly moving, rapidly.
Yeah Hank! So glad you posted a new tornado video! Thank you for everything you do.
This is hands down the best footage I have ever seen of tornadoes! Pecos Hank is 1 of a kind! I don't know how you stay so calm when you are so close to disaster. God bless you and stay safe !!

So thank you :)
*i think I made this comment too long-*
Almost every day???? Still probably my 2nd or 1st favorite storm chaser he is so relaxing
That's awesome Sage. Thanks for taking the time to write.
Massive congratulations on 1M subscribers. Very well deserved as your footage is stunning!!

I love the Smell of rain
I love the sound of thunder
I love to feel the cold air
I love to touch the wet soil
That's why I'm here 💙
I mean the thing is tho you get none of that here except for the thunder thing, pretty sick though

Fascinating footage, the piece by piece destruction visible to us, has to put you in the danger zone?
Having grown up in the Midwest, and seeing what tornados do, I find your channel fun and interesting. Thank you for your content.
Such a rush! I can’t even begin to imagine what you get to feel!
Congratulations on 1 million!
There is a guy named Reed Trimmer with I believe 4 of these cars. His channel would have more information on this topic.
@@snowmanpatty it's Reed Timmerman, he's amazing!
Some are heavy. I get it done with less carbon footprint.

@@johncoleman6927
My pleasure! You said it, they are utterly fascinating. For me, it's an amalgamation of terror, fascination, and awe. I got bit by the tornado bug at age seven. I was yanked out of bed (and from a sound sleep) by the back of my pajamas, thrown under dad's arm while at a dead run with the rest of my family trying to reach the basement, and hearing/feeling something crash through the roof into the living room milliseconds after everyone cleared that area.(It was our massive oak tree, former resident of the front yard.)
We lived in KC at the time, and found out later it wasn't a tornado, but a straight line wind event. (The 7 Jun 1982 derecho)
Tornado or not, it did the trick!
Let’s go! Another Pecos video!!!!
Great footage. UA-cam subtitles picks up the word tornado as burritos, which I find way too funny
You are by far the best chaser, fantastic editing, music, narrations, the whole package! Love your music. Keep on creating!
I already know this video is going to be amazing! Love the content, keep em’ comin’!
Something about watching a tornado form is satisfying to see.
3:10 I'm not sure if that was sound effects or the sound of the vortex from a distance but it gave me eerie goosebumps hearing it.
Love your channel & content, Pecos Hank! Keep em coming & never give up on your work. Stay safe, strong & sound out there! 👍
Thanks for another great presentation, Hank! It’s a real treat when you show up on my UA-cam feed. Some amazing stuff you captured on the road. Keep up the great work!!!
