I built it myself, collected parts from various sources. .. It's very well possible that it would make it go faster because you would kick harder being excited to have something so nice. ;-)
Great job. I know you you said KnowPed but that does look more like the GrowPed, with the smaller deck! Please confirm as I would have thought a GrowPed would be too smalll for an adult! Also, I would love to see what you could do with a ROCKER ROLLA kick scooter! Cheers.
I just bought the KickPed from NYCeWheels.com. It's made by GoPed. I was wondering what I should look for to replace the folding handlebars with a race type bar like you have here.

Safug Pac I sold it years ago, He still has it but i didn’t sell it with the scooter pros race pole.

It’s definitely a knowped, growped has shorter wheelbase.
Growped is large enough for an adult with correct sized pole FYI
