There is no such thing as a bad This Wild Life song, and this song definitely agrees with that statement and then some. I love it, can't wait for the new album. I'm expecting to have it be the only thing I listen to for at least a month.
You guys never disappoint, I think every single one of your songs is awesome and very relatable, regardless if the theme for each song is "happy" or "sad" your music truly speaks to the heart and it wraps it in a warm feeling. In that way this track was not the exeption, in one word I'd say it's beautiful, also the video sets the mood perfectly for the song, that sunset looks gorgeous and very nostalgic if you ask me, I simply can't wait untill the album release!
I heard this song over the loudspeaker at a Cheddars restaurant back in March of this year, and I liked it so much that I recorded it to my phone while I was eating with the screen off. When it went off, I couldn't help but think, "Wow, I really really like this song but there's no way for me to find out who it is. Guess this is the one that got away..." Fast forward to just now lol and I'm listening to what my phone managed to get over all the fork scraping on plates and other restaurant ambience...I struggled to hear any words poke out from the mix except "like a riptide", which started my search. I clicked on one rap video and one Vance Joy video before winding up here in the right place. So glad I found this song again!!!
