I have tried 100 pipers 12 years Scotch whiskey which costs 2000 in delhi...it tastes better than normal 100 pipers...Please try..
Ballantines used to be my favourite until i tried white label, now it holds the number one spot

2) Ballantines (₹1350)
3) Black Dog Tripple (₹2k)
4) J&B Rare (₹1530)
5) VAT 69 (₹1260)
J&B Rare is such a underrated whisky..

There are many youtube channels dedicated to alcoholic drinks such as The Bourbonite, Talking Whiskey etc.
But there was no Indian channel dedicated for this.

Uisge Beatha was an Irish product, distilled as Aqua Vitae in 1229 AD. 800 Yrs. Ballantine's 12 YO is an enigma. Its from the Chivas House. Doesn't sell too well. Ballantine 17 YO is a global No 1 blend.

Please review Jura 10, John Barr reserve, & Grant's Triple wood.
All the five mentioned whiskies are very different from each other. Each one's worth trying out. Ultimately it comes down to your taste buds. My personal favourite is Teachers for this price range, I would say it's pretty generic scorch but if you smokey taste you will definitely like Teacher highland cream, it's very definition of smokey scotch whisky. Cheers!

However whenever I used to travel via Dubai Duty Free, i always used to purchase 'Highland Queen' a Blended Scotch Whiskey, do try that as well if available. I liked it, you may too like it...

@@angelesc2033 A bit expensive I would say as compared to regular one...Beacause in Lucknow, its around 1400 for regular and around 2200 for 12 years....It has its own class....But not very popular one for this price range

I am new to your channel Manish and I am very happy to see your list include my all time personal favorite Black & White. I think I first had it in 2005 or 2006 for about 1000 rs/bottle and since then it has been a cherished companion. As a very light and infrequent drinker a bottle lasts approx 45 days with me :D. Dewars is another favorite and funnily it was a wine shop seller who recommended it to me after asking what my preferred whiskey was (B&W was my answer). However I am kinda surprised by the inclusion of VAT69 in this list. IMHO in it nowhere close to Teachers HC which as you have yourself commented a very underrated whiskey. Infact I have noticed its quality deteriorate over time. Still great choices! looking forward to your review of Grant Family reserve! Cheers ! :)
