i noticed in high school bully romances when it’s four guys there’s always the main guy everyone wants, the goofy one, the player and then the super chill one sometimes if it’s 3 they’ll be the same but one of these will just be excluded

Cross the Line is SO GOOD!! it’s a spin off of The Four series and i highly recommend that! i didn’t like Trick Me Twice tho which is part of this universe too, but that’s a dark bully romance too :))

I haven't read these books that I am going to suggest to you yet but I haven't heard a bad thing about them.
The first series is the royal elite by Rina Kent.
The second series is the elite kings club by Amo Jones.
And a standalone book is rich prick by Tijan.

You NEED to read Breaking the Bully by Jessa Kane! It’s a fantastic bully romance novella with tons of pining and groveling. SO SO good!!
I think the reason it's always a few guys who rule the school in these books is that they are usually jocks, and jocks usually do rule the school. Not to the extreme they do in these books, but in high school if you sit with the jocks or the cheerleaders at lunch you are in the popular crowd. So, it's just a more dramatic version of that. And they do sometimes get away with more than the average student because a strong football team brings prestige to the school, so the principal loves the crap out them. It might be exaggerated in these books, but it's true up to a point.
I'm surprised you left untouchable off the list. That is by far the best high school bully book I've ever read. Sam Mariano is a fantastic writer. She did a very believable job of redeeming the character Carter. It starts off brutal with an SA and you think she can't possibly redeem that guy, but the female lead wants to be a psychology major and she's drawn to figuring out why he did it. It turns out there's more to him than she realized. He was tramatized as a child and they kind of heal each other. You wouldn't think a book that starts out like that could become a sweet romance, but the writer did a great job of it.
I'm on book 3 of the Brayshaw series and I love it because the characters react different to normal Bully romance. And I love the main character Raven. Not actually sure if it counts as Bully romance after book 1 thinking about it
Brayshaw had me hooked till the last book!!!

Laura you should definitely check out Ashley Jade. Her Royal Hearts Academy series is so good. I didn't love the first book much but I adored the next three! specially Ruthless Knight! Also check out Dear Ava by Ilsa Madden Hills!

One of my fav tropes, I've read most of the books on this recommendation. My recommendation would be The Golden Boys by Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorn. It's the first in and it has a good old slow burn romance that is the chef's kiss to any romance imho

Hate Stepbrother Dearest just because I read Neighbor Dearest first, so I didn't even have to read the first book to know the outcome. I do not like his character (Elec), IMO his a huge douchebag as an adult, can't image what kindle of dingleberry he was as a teen. I'll keep Damien from the 2nd one though. TY. 🤣
