What a heart warming video , when we announced to some of our friends and family that we were going to Morocco they said are you mad it’s so dangerous but the reality is the Moroccans are the friendliest people we have ever met . To be honest the culture shock for us was going back into Europe.
Totally agree @paulhumphrey3402. Morocco is one of a kind. People often get misconceptions due to some experiences they have had. But there is good and bad everywhere you go. Morocco is a refreshing place to be in.
Sadly my daughter had some money stolen from her hotel room in marrakesh this summer which tainted their trip, something you don’t expect in a top class hotel.
@@helenreasbeck1348 it´s an unfortunate and rare event I have heard happen in Morocco not alone in a top class hotel. Your daughter should have told the hotel staff what happened and asked for their help. Top class or five star hotels definitely have surveillance cameras, I am sure the staff would have been more than happy to assist her in finding out what happened to her phone. Indeed, this is the first time I am hearing about such an experience in a hotel in Morocco. Well, stealing happens everywhere, and sometimes one can get unlucky and caught in such situations if at all in happened in the hotel.
@@nazlitechschool they did report it to the hotel management, they thought at first they took loose change as a tip they had left on a bedside table but unfortunately it wasn’t as they took money from a handbag it wardrobe. I’m sure they had a good idea which cleaner it was and told them not to come in the room again
Moroccan hospitality is second to none ! I challenge you to go to ANY person and say we don't have where to stay or eat and watch what they'll do for free ! ❤
This family is the true representation of English people. They are the best of England and there are many like them. Forget the stereotypes. That's coming from a Londoner from Jamaican parents.
I am so glad that you experienced this. The morrocan people are some of the most beautiful, kind, sharing people I have ever met. One of my best work friends is Moroccan and I've met her husband and children. I haven't been back since 1996, this has inspired me to change that. Enjoy the rest of your time in Morocco.
Thanks for sharing your adventures! Great videos! I just want to rectify one piece of information you shared about the history of Casablanca. It was not founded by the French. It was founded in 1770 by sultan Mohamed ibn Abdelallah. Even before that it was an important port even during the Roman presence in the region. It used to be called Anfa. The French did modernize it,but they didnt found it. But great content! Love your videos. Thank you!

Moroccans are wonderful people. Looks like you are seeing and experiencing it to its fullest. I did feel sad for that dog shading itself from the hot sun under the van. Maybe a bit if kindness like some water or even left over bread for the strays might be a nice way to pay back the hospitality you have so far received. Great vlogs guys, really enjoying the trip!
This has definitely made me want to add Morocco to the list (just need to save to be able to take a sabbatical at work haha!). I love it when you can engage with the locals. Wasn't sure what to expect from this series but actually I've really enjoyed them ❤
Pity you are not Australian then. We have Long Service Leave built into our employment law. Work for the same company for 7 years or more and you receive additional paid leave. It's why, wherever you are in the world, you will find Australians of all ages on long trips😊 and I love it. So far my LSL has taken me to Borneo, Japan, Canada, US, Botswana, Zambia and Iceland. Morocco is next year.
Only the locals unfortunately complained about Casablanca as any locals of big cities hh but I lived there and loved it , it’s very modern and felt safe. The beach coast is gorgeous and you should go there. Moroccans live more at night in the summer
