I don’t know who told you to honk and rev to get them to pull over, but they’re wrong. If you catch a slow pedestrian, you have to be calm, accept it and hopefully you can get a quicker run the next time.

I recommend disabling the "power" button setting while on M-mode. The pedal is way too touchy and you want all the control you can get. When I barely got my car, I thought the "power" button was great but when pushing the car hard you want finer modulation.

Harassing a slower car in front of you is pretty stupid and illegal. It could cause an accident. You need to wait and find a gap in traffic large enough to have fun. Most do like to go fast. Some will get out of your way. Some are polite. It isn’t up to you to force anyone to do anything - somebody might get some road rage and start something. Who in the world do you think you are?

I live here, I drive the dragon and a lot of the surrounding roads often on a motorcycle and by car, and there is NOT a different rule here. The dragon is a 30 mph speed limit state highway. Not a racetrack, and blowing your horn because someone is not yielding to you wanting to go double the speed limit is just as rude here as it is anywhere. Whoever told you that is jerking your chain.

You seem to think you know me. Or anything about me. My original letter addressed the man who made the video, and who believed the lie that it's fine to lay on your horn while tailgating on the Dragon, and it is not any less rude there as anywhere. What that has to do with "jealousy" or any of the other nonsense you are drooling is completely beyond me. You're just one of the arrogant ricky racer wannabes that gets peeled off a tree and sent to the morgue around the Dragon every year, with a big mouth and some false sense that no one is your match. I LIVE here, stupid, I AM the Romans, it is you that refuse to believe that highway is anything other than your personal race track and it is certainly not, and you will find out the first time you rip around one of those corners on the Dragon and see two State Troopers in leathers with motorcycles sitting in a blind bend. People who live here use that road for getting to and from, and those that love to ride it are welcome to, but that gives no license to idiots with no skill on bikes they are overmatched on to damage peoples property and assault them because you are pretending you're at the Nurburgring and seem to think you are entitled to cause damage, endanger others using the road, as well as the idea you can physically assault someone. Now, you come right on back and spew your insults and strut your stuff like the computer bad ass you'd like to be, junior, but I've wasted enough time with you.

I used to drive this road 2 x a day to then from work and I can't tell you how many times I moved over to let people go only to round a curve and the dumbass was wiped out and I got to be first in line until they moved he wrecked pos out of the road so I stopped. I drove the speed limit and stopped pulling over at all. I got there quicker, not only because idiots were not wrecking in front of me but because I was not stopping every mile to let another idiot pass.
You are an asshole for blowing your horn etc. One day you may see it and realize that thats aggressive driving. In Tennessee you can go to jail for 6mo and lose your license for a year. Nc you could lose your license as well.
It's a public road, not a racetrack. If you want to drive fast then spend the money to do to a track.
You are going to round a cuve one day at 2x or more the speed limit and something or someone will be in the road on the other side. Then you will realize the difference between the 30mph speed limit and you doing 60mph and how that effects stopping distance and all your other options.

I fully understand wanting to enjoy the Dragon in a hot car ( or bike) but the road is STILL a public road and not anyone's personal race track. Moving over to let others by is a nice gesture. But it is NOT MANDATORY on any public road. So, if someone's behind me, I'm not blind. I can see if they want to go faster and I will pull over to let them by if they will just be patient enough to let me choose my spot. But if they lose their patience then I can turn into Mr. Complete Jerk! Respect and Politness run both directions.

David Grason If you turn into "Mr. Complete jerk" in front of me on my bike, I turn into "Mr. Smash your side mirror when i finally pass you". If you go to the tail, you better stay the fuck out of peoples way, Mr. Get your ass kicked.

bubbiesdad Unlikely. Ive been riding motorcycles on a daily basis for over 10 years. Been racing motocross for 15 years. I've smashed probably 5 mirrors off of cagers on the tail for being rude douche bags.

Actions of a douche-bag on your part. Natural reflex would be a jerk of the steering wheel. Jerk scraped off the road to follow.

bubbiesdad My actions were in RESPONSE to douchebag actions. And go ahead and jerk your wheel. I'm 50 feet in front of you by the time you realize what I just did while passing you. I also veer left simultaneously as I smash mirrors because I am anticipating that response from the type of douche who likes getting in the way. I have passed hundreds and hundreds of cars on the tail. You have to be a really really big asshole to get your mirror smashed off by me. And no, you wont hit me. 2 of the people jerked their wheel spastically toward me, as you describe. I was WELL ahead of them by the time they even got close to the lateral position change that would've been required to hit me. Im going 70, you're going 25.... The moment you even realize Im going to pass you, your mirror is on the pavement. You can get out and look at it at the next pull off.
