A flying theater will be a great addition to the park. I wish BGT would add a flying theater to diversify their lineup. I'd love to see seaworld compete with universal on the thrill side and add more themed attractions.
With Universal Orlando Resort planning to open Epic Universe, SeaWorld Orlando is in a rather interesting state. In my opinion, I think that the park will look to do the following: - Improve their front entrance area - Add some new thrilling/family flat rides - Use the Shamu Stadium for a new themed area and coaster - Add a new Sesame Street dark ride (something similar to Street Mission at PortAventura or a new original one) - Improve the overall theming in some of the areas - Add a new family coaster (like a Gravity Group Family Wooden Coaster or Vekoma Suspended Family Coaster)
They need a B&M hyper wing in the Key West area. They need to refurbish JTA to its former glory. They need a coaster like Oscar's Wacky Taxi in the Sesame Street area. I hope if they ever replace the orca stadium they replace it with a launched log flume that is also a dark ride and it interacts with an Intamin Blitz like Taron.
I’d personally love to see them do an inverted/stc coaster over by JTA weaving in and out of mako. And by the orca stadium and sesame land a Vekoma family boomerang. Also a frisbee ride built on a platform over the lagoon would be amazing, especially no park in the Orl area has a big frisbee ride.
SeaWorld will never send their Orcas to a sanctuary. Who would pay for their care? Even though they did end the breeding program, SeaWorld has said many times that the 5 remaining Orcas in Orlando will live out the remainder of their lives at the park. And considering that the youngest whale is only 11 years old You can bet the whales aren't going anywhere soon.
Regarding SeaWorld's killer whales across all parks, they still have 18 currently living in their parks (9 in San Diego, 5 in Orlando and 4 in San Antonio) So it will take likely more than 15 years to even consider new developments at any SeaWorld park that has a Orca habitat. Of course they may group killer whales together to each other's parks. But it ain't as easy as it sounds, leaving the logistics aside. The hierarchy within the pods needs to be considered and the size of these animals too. I know it's important to look into the future, but at the moment I don't see the killer whales going no where What I'm thinking what SeaWorld can do is a "Universal approach". Since they do own considerable amounts of land between Westwood Boulevard and Sea Harbor Drive. Build a Universal style parking garage on that piece of land, hosting parking spaces for guests and ambassadors. For safety still build a bridge over Sea Harbor Drive. By doing this the park can expand all of a sudden to where currently the parking lot is located, likely will need to relocate the main entrance so it's not in the middle of the expanded park. Also eliminating the very questionable exit driveway for cars. Now I know Ambassador Services and HR is located there too, but to be honest I don't think it will be bothered that much.
Orlando has 5 orcas aging from 46 to 16 I believe. I think they would still have them till like 2050 maybe? Or like mid 2045. I’d be very sad whenever they all pass cuz orcas are literally my number 1 fav animal.
My local park, yay. Ops has to get better. Guest services have to get better. It's the #1 thing holding people back and when you ask tourists they all say the staff don't seem happy at all. The current tipping thing (btw, employees don't get the tips!) and 5% surcharge on all purchases are just straight BS.
Love seaworld Orlando! Would love to see an RMC raptor added to the lineup. So many theming opportunities that would fall in line with the park. Love your content 👍
You should do 5 burning questions for Kings Dominion. Or at least more Kings Dominion videos and your predictions for Anaconda and the rest of the Jungle X expansion.
I’m not interested in that land at SeaWorld Orlando that’s based on a certain kids’ IP that doesn’t fit the nautical and oceanic theme of SeaWorld. I’d rather have an expanded Happy Harbor area with more family-friendly rides that still keeps the theme, while having a mini land for the kids’ IP that fits the nautical and ocean theme.
United Parks(formerly Sea World Ent) pays poorly, thus they get the people that can't get hired at Universal, Disney, etc,,, It's likely going to get worse at Sea World Orlando b/c Epic Universe is going to hire a lot of people. I met several SWO employees summer 2023 at BGT and all said they were trying to get hired at Universal, they were at SWO to get experience on their resume
Epic is not hiring anyone. They are moving employees from their legacy parks and will hire new employees at IoA and Studios at much lower rates. Universal is in really bad shape right now. Attendance is down again this year (so much so that they are giving Premier passholders FREE HHN passes on many weekends in OCTOBER) and future investment is getting slashed. They expect attendance to plummet at Studios especially after Epic opens but Comcast does not want them to invest in new attractions at those parks soon. They were supposed to get investment next year so they could open a new attraction in each legacy park in 2026, but that has gotten pushed back to 2027 or 2028 and more attractions will shutter - including Simpsons land, which will have its changeover delayed by a year. Also Sea World actually pays the same as Universal now for starting employees. Universal is going to lower their ride operator starting salary by $2 an hour very soon. People are going to be surprised how bad it is going to get soon. Epic Universe is not looking like it is going to add a ton more revenue - so if the surveys pan out, Comcast is forcing MASSIVE budget cuts and most park executives will be replaced for bean counters that will look to cut cost everywhere.
I was at howl o scream and they only had mako and pipeline open. They need to open the whole park up. BGT did a better job this year with howl o scream. I was surprised they had four operator seat checkers for IG.
I think that they should replace the orca theatre with some sort of arctic animal and for flat rides they should add a bigger drop tower like doctor doom down the road at Universal
Seaworld is one of my home parks. I visit with my daughter 6-8 times a year. Would love to see Mack Stryker or an extreme spinner. Just don't want another B&M.
A gyro swing like loke or tigeren would be the perfect flat ride for the park to add. BGT has Serengeti Flyer so a different pendulum makes sense. They will not top Mako unless they build a coaster called Orca
It's definitely not unfortunate that they're not breeding more whales. Fish in a giant aquarium is one thing. Marine mammals in a pool, regardless of size, is just cruel. The fact their lifespan is actually shorter in captivity should say a lot
If I was in charge of Sea World Orlando I would try to get 1-2 flat rides per year for the next few years as a counter balance to the major new attraction. For instance with the flying theater being more of a family friendly ride I would pit in a Zamperla Giga Discovery. If 2026 brings a thrill coaster then a good companion flat would be a Nebulaz. If there are no major attractions then do one thrilling and one calmer flat.
The last time I was at SeaWorld the team members looked like they had a pet die.The attitudes were bad.I believe it could be because of the pay. They are paid the least of all the parks in Orlando.
I’ve followed you for a long time but I was kind of upset to hear you say that you’ll be disappointed with no more Orcas. These are magnificent and intelligent creatures should not be kept in captivity in a tiny enclosure for our entertainment. I love Sea World too, but Orcas (and dolphins) should not be part of it anymore. I’m glad they are moving past it.
They should have orcas in their iconography and theming along with dolphins. They’ll probably put in fake orcas and dolphins to match the theme that would look totes realistic.

sending the orcas to a sanctuary could help because you can built something in the stadium plot of land sooner.
and could also name a launched wing coaster hammerhead.

Not only will SeaWorld be competing with Epic Universe but they will be competing with the new six flags and cedar fair chain
