I'm almost certain he's using the illusion disc to make it seem like he's slowly healing (so tht that way it's more believable). Mainly because I really don't think Shadow/Origami is to blame for the hands- that was the portal's doing.

He's using the illusion disk and that could be it like, malfunction or something? And Sherbert asked about Dylan's hair not about the arms.. but that is a Sherbert thing to do so I'm not sure

That would explain the static effects also I noticed that sherbet asked about Dylan’s hair and not his hands🤔but the static was also shown for Oragami/shadow🤔🤔 and it was said that the illusion disk will only work if you have seen the thing that is under the illusion🤨 so maybe it’s the illusion disk or maybe it’s actually going away🧐🧐🧐
Okay so I’m the frames just after the glitching starts (~ 9:44) you can see his arms are actually up through his sleeves, so the disk is most definitely involved and probably making it seem like his arms are getting better. He is probably doing this as either denial, hoping it would fix itself by making his mind see it fixed, or to comfort the people around him about his hands not getting better.
Also when the pov switches back at 15:58 his arms changes, I think if it was just a “ we are seeing from Dylan’s eyes” thing it would stay the with the alternative vision but we are seeing it from Dylan’s point of view. This means that we are perceiving what Dylan is, and because Dylan knows the truth, that his hands are not getting better, he sees them as normal. And that’s also why when the pov changes it doesn’t glitch.
A wound can be healed, but a scard will be lasting for lifetime. It all depends on how deep the wound is.

I don’t believe the arms are better.
Reasons being:
1. In the title it has quotations which implies that it isn’t actually a healing wound.
2. When the POV changes there is static shock leads me to believe it could be an illusion disc. 9:44
3. We know that the arms are from the portal not shadow so the explanation is a bit sketchy.
4. I’m not the only person who’s a bit skeptical.
Second Edit: 5. I think he did it because either he got worse or he wants people to stop worrying, this would make sense especially after the talk with Pluto.
But of course I could be reading into this too much as I tend to do. I’m an overthinker and it makes sense. Just a theory tho.
Edit: the it in the first reason refers to the word healing.

Okay, so, the hands are possibly connected to Origami/Shadows anger or just him in general? So since they are working on fixing Origami dylans hands/arms went down from the shoulders, to the forearm. But kost of the stuff was like caused by possession so.. dylan hot vinnies eyes, plutos hair, and shadow is possibly made from the portal or whatever so when dylans body was stuck in the portal did shadow like, somewhat possess him? If were going off yhe fact that its connected to his(Origami/Shadows) anger or whatever.
