  • Mille Bobby Brown surprised fans at the official unveiling Monday of her debut Madame Tussauds wax figure, styled on her popular Enola Holmes character.
26 competition winners had gathered at the Baker Street museum to be the first to see the likeness.
"The reason 'Stranger Things' became such a big hit is because of the fandom. And then when I made 'Enola Holmes,' that became a whole other fandom of people that loved and supported the things I did. And there's no event that wouldn't be, you know, kind of a Millie event, without fans," said the star, before posing for photos with delighted fans and her wax figure.
Brown sat for the museum's artists in her Atlanta home last year, spending a morning posing for hundreds of measurements, and working through the figure's pose and expression.
"Posture is one of the most important things to really capture, especially because she's old time English, she's, you know, very poised and together and capturing her strengths," noted the actor, "and her facial expressions are really important to me because they're probably, maybe the most specific character, you know, characteristics I've ever kind of portrayed in my career so far. So, to capture them, really, really important to me."
Following the sleuthing adventures of Sherlock Holmes' youngest sister, two "Enola Holmes" films have been released so far - the second of which topped Netflix's top 10 chart in 93 countries. A third instalment is due next year.
"I'm really honored that it's not just me and it's Enola," said Brown, " a character that I've built from the age of like 13, that I took the book series and we made it into our own as a production company. So for me, I think it's also incredibly like special to be here and to be that character - I think that character is a huge inspiration to some young girls, and I think it's a good role model for girls to look up to. You know, she's strong and she's independent and she leads with her heart. And I think that that's great.
The wax Enola will go on public display from Friday July 19, as part of Madame Tussauds London's new film and TV themed zone, alongside Doctor Who, James Bond, E.T., and Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan.
