Wow! I hope you take whatever you were planning on asking for that piece and double it. That's not a flipped piece of furniture, it's an art piece. It's not even my style, I'm very minimalist, but I'd buy it just to gaze at it. You've got a lot going on there, but it all goes together seamlessly, and never looks like too much. So I've watched the full list and your piece stood out from the rest. Yours is an artistic endeavor that checks all the boxes. You did repairs on your price, all the cleaning, sanding & prep work. But them you went off in a totally amazing journey. That you made your own print to use is takes your work to an even higher level. Amazing.. utterly totally amazing and what a beautiful end result. I get such satisfaction watching you create your new pieces. You’ve got such an eye for understanding the art of blending. You probably don’t think much of it, but it’s truly a gift. I’ve been studying your process because I’m planning on painting a wall in my home (something I’ve never taken on before) but watching you on slo-mo is helping me get a grasp on the how to. Perhaps you might consider teaching an online class
Wow, Lorraine! A whole wall?!?! That’s so ambitious. I would love to see the end result, it sounds amazing! And maybe one day I would feel comfortable teaching an online class, but probably only after my little guy starts school. He keeps me pretty busy. It is a fun idea to ponder on, though.
@@elegantupgrades I’ll be sure to share a pic of the end results. Its going to be an abstract blended sort of thing. I saw a painting, fell in love with the colors and art style. After all, it’s just paint right haha and yes, do enjoy your little guy while you can because before you know it he’ll be picking out a corsage for his prom date 😬

Lovely! I usually cringe when I see someone break out the paint rather than stripping/refinishing the wood. However, in this case (1) I couldn’t tell if the wood was worth ’saving’, and (2) it’s not a style of furniture I would usually like. When I saw the art piece it was when you were done I was gobsmacked! Your ‘marbled’ paper insert is lovely. I also LOVE Anaglypta; I almost never see anyone use it! Your application of the Anaglypta was truly inspired. I’ve subbed so I can follow some more of your art. 😊

Love this! Where you used gold, I'd probably use silver (or gunmetal, or pewter) but that's just me. What a stunning transformation!
