  • Sir Jim Ratcliffe has sensationally claimed that the so called ‘big six’ clubs should have more voting rights than the rest of the Premier League.
Ratcliffe gave a rare in-person interview with Bloomberg in which he outlined his vision for the league going forward.
The minority stake holder - who oversees the footballing side of operations - has caused a stir with some of his comments and it goes without saying it has riled up the rest of the Premier League.
In other news, a deal to bring Iliman Ndiaye to Everton in the summer transfer window still remains on the cards according to reports with an announcement expected early this week.
All this as more in today’s show as Ian Croll, Joe Thomas and Gav Buckland sit down in the Royal Blue studio to discuss the latest news coming out of Everton.

Dream on if you think Everton can get in with the sly six. It is all fixed for them to stay and profit in the sly six. Ratcliffe knows that the draw bridge is pulled up. United are a billon in debt and still buying players with borrowed money. Ask Newcastle richer than any of them, and still having to sell players for p s r and guess who will be buying there players. yes you guessed it THE SLY SIX

Remember without the other clubs the league isn’t what it is. That’s a fact.

Newcastle fan here, the “Rat” doesn’t even understand his own club finished, seventh or eighth? last season so he wants to keep his big trap shut. I just hope Man U fans realise they have another Mike Ashley on the board now.

If a change is needed it should depend have long you have been in not the premier league but the top league , who should get the most votes ie Everton and Arsenal

The Big Six are the ones that are cherry pick to promote the league, if the league pushed Everton or another club they would be world renowned. Man City rise is a prime example. Villa, Newcastle, west ham Everton can all replace the top six if they had the funds for marketing.

The top six couldn't exist as they are, if not for the fact the other 14 teams can beat them at any time,in contrast to foreign leagues.

The big six where literally told by the premier league to punish themselves. The premier league never punished them. A competitive league, lets see. The lowest ever points to survive relegation, Everton lost their opening 4 home matches, went on a 4 month spin without winning a game, deducted 10 points, and still survived relegation. If they had not been given the 10 point deduction they would have finished 11th behind Crystal Palace. That is not competitive, thats very poor quality football in the bottom half of the table, and it's been getting less competitive down there for nearly a full decade. It used to be you'd need to account for 40 points for survival in the league, not anymore, 31/30 points is the new low.

United at the moment they are not a top six this is a owner of a club who wanted public money to build a new Manchester stadium while he lives in Monaco as a taxi exile so he saves a few millions a year ,once city get done other teams might have a chance, and I might be a billionaire before the years out

Guys you're talking like the " big 6 " were wanting to break away from the premier league , they were only wanting to replace Uefa champs league with a different one

They are a bunch of Greedy bastards, they needed to be penalized by a points deduction. The NFL shares money equally and has a much better league overall. The C.L. money IS THE PROBLEM !! From 1960 to 1980 there were 10 different English Top Flight champions. Since the P.L. was formed in 1992, there has been only 7 P.L. title holders in 31 years, and Three were ONE OFFS...............Blackburn, L.C.s miracle title run, and Liverpool, the other 28 were won by 4 teams, that is complete and utter BS. The C.L. has created two tiered leagues.

Perhaps but they were told by UEFA that if they joined the ESL they would be banned from domestic football - thanks for listening!
