Seems kind of silly not to have the dead lift bars at equal distances from the finish. Scott Panchik clearly had an advantage with his bar well ahead of Froning. I'd call B.S. on that.
When you watch how the judges assess the reps, there is no comparison when you look at today’s judges. They were so much better back then, so much more attention to detail.
@@nikolasschindler7430 well let me see. I lifted ALL ARMY in 1978-1979. Competition for the next 20 years with a 2yr break in between those years being paralyzed in both legs. Rehabilitation for 2yts then Competition again for 10 more years. Ya you're right, I never worked out.
@@calebwany8422 yes it should. Bad form = injury. Form always matters. These crossfitters who don't use good form might win because of speed but their bodies will brake down sooner than everyone else.
21-15-9-6-3 sHSPU, Frontsquats, Burpees
I was about to write a comment-suggestion for the CF Games Channel to include the workouts in the video's description. Thanks!
Weight?

GREAT SPORT
2014 unforgettable moment Rich Froning vs Scott Panchik???
So are we sure Vellner didn't just change his name from Hollmberg and come back reinvented? The guys look the same.

Yes, at the end they don't say.

Rich had a flu at these regionals as well. Makes you wonder if he’d been fully healthy...
Obviously he would preform better without being sick.
@@codythrive5154 brilliant assessment
@@tererai7936 you asked the dumbest question I’ve ever read on UA-cam bro
@@codythrive5154 what’s dumb is you referring to a speculative statement as a question.
Cold maybe, not the flu...you can barely get out of bed if you have the Flu, regardless of whether you're an elite level athlete or not.
Legendary
what was the workout??
Ladder down from 21 hand stand pushups front squat burpees over bar
21-15-9-6-3 HSPU, Front squats, burpees
So......who won?
Tied
Panchik, there aren’t ties unless they really land at the exact same time.
💪💪
Rich had the flu and was still unbeatable
Except he got beaten in this event
When CrossFit used to be cool.

But still, this is crossfit, form shouldn't be such a big deal
