Sousse is the Gotham city of Tunisia overrated due to majority of presidents & business owners are from their. klebia bizerte Zarzis ain drahim , Tabarka are most beautiful from people to scenery as I’m sure you’ve clocked on to. Was that a beach or a dump site lol

Thanks to your videos, perhaps the authorities can address and monitor these inappropriate behaviors. At least I saw that you enjoyed Tabarka and El Kef. We don't ask people to be overly generous, just to treat Tunisians and visitors with respect. Thank you to all the well-educated Tunisians, and shame on those who have tarnished our image worldwide.
Those taxi drivers they do the same thing with the local people too not only tourists belive me I am Tunisian and I've been scamed too many times. they know it's illegal but they still breaking the law but good you filmed them so everyone can see that and report them to the police.Any way enjoy your time in Tunisia you are doing well with everything👍.
Ellis if you really want to go to a beautiful beach you must go to Bizerte this is a city in the North of Tunisia when there are many Beach the most beautiful is Ghar El mellah Coco beach and rafraf
Many people from kairouan have come to sousse and made the beaches manky. They come in the summer sleep on the beach and leave all sorts as you have seen on the beach in the centre.
Man U should go to Mahdia so peaceful, beautiful beaches, especially the touristic zone where quad tours and jet skis, parachutes, camels rides, and much more you'll never regret! u can go to it from Sousse by the metro of Sahel it is cheap have fun !!
very nice, you did very well, some taxis when they see tourists they can become selfish or try to gain money like the one who didn't want to put the meter on in tunis, you did a good video about my country and you did very well dealing with selfish people very nice, but though the majority of the taxis can ask for a little price (3 to 5 dinars) with anyone who has luggage to carry it's normal (like a payback because of the weight on his car because meter doesn't take this into account)
Will take note and do a livestream sometime! Can have a chitchat about anything and answer any random questions! Thanks for the support Maria and have a lovely weekend
Just a piece of information from a Tunisian citizen: large luggage costs one dinar each, and taxi drivers are required to use the meter to take you wherever you want. Take care and have a nice stay :)
actually for the taxi you got a taxi licence number above for a reason, you got it on camera the number and him refusing to use the meter you can report him
Im sorry you had a horrible experience in Sousse, In the summer season it gets crowded in general and especially in the center where you were, next time go to more chill places like Kantaoui. But yea the taxi drivers even I get scammed when I go to the center with my foreigner boyfriend and I'm a local lol I wish beach comers from around the country were more caring about keeping the beach clean. Even us locals don't dare go to that beach in the summer, we go to less crowded beaches ! Overall i hope you will get to experience it better if you ever come again, i'd recommend spring time !
I'm terribly sorry you had to go through that ordeal. Some taxi drivers can be rather dreadful, they treat locals the same way, if not worse!! Last time I was in Tunisia, my foreigner part of the family joined in. The extortion from taxi drivers and the harassment and aggression from sellers were truly embarrassing. At one point, in Hammamet Sud, we couldn't find a taxi willing to take us home. One driver bluntly told me it was because I was local and they preferred to charge higher fares to tourists. I ended up saying I would pay more either way just so we could go home.. It's ironic how they're actively contributing to ruining their own livelihoods. I apologize once more, and welcome to Tunisia! 🙌
the guy with the louage outside of the station, he's just trying to avoid paying taxes and stuff I made the mistake once, and had to wait 3 hours vs few minutes if I had chosen the proper route never did it again as a Tunisian, I feel embarrassed that I got trapped and not you LOL I'm just discovering your channel, so genuine. keep it up
In fact the diffrence between the two louages its the first one work in kinda "non official" way so he doesnt to pay his "emplacement rent" and pourcentage on each trip ..personally i prefer going with the regular ones unless it is crowded inside
Im very impressed with your videos cause your living the journey how it's ment to be because tunisia is not only the coast and Beach, can't wait for more. If you decide to spend a night in sfax please feal free to contact and we will give you a tour of the city

You are wonderful. Your visit to Tunisia and Iraq was enjoyable and rich in knowledge. We hope that you will visit other Arab countries. I also ask you to provide translation into the Arabic language. You have Arab followers. It would be nice to follow you and understand you in Arabic.. Much love♥️❤❤❤❤
Don't get freaked out , louages parked outside just want to skip the line so they try to gather as much people outside the station and get on route earlier than others it's a good practice to say no though and get the ticket :D , have fun guys < 3
im a taxi driver, its been 2 years now and let me tell you, the old taxi who told you that you have to pay for the luggage is right, he is not lying, it even says it on the sticker in the back window, you can look it up ;), me personally i never charge for luggage but the meter is really low price man and we have really bad roads... that's why most of young taxis work with BOLT, because it pays better than the meter
i wish i can see a vedio that u cruising in djerba it is a touristique place but u should cruise in the town and just enjoy the beachs stay away from the touristic zone if u want to visit a good descent beaches u can go to ras el rmal its a smal island in djerba u can got there by an suv the pirate boats it coast 25 dt each with a full meal included also just cruising in th houmet esouk town and staying in aricha hotel is enough and cheap enjoy in tunisia
Hey brother the thee you asked for is actually not fresh mint thee, we have in Tunisia the real fresh mint thee then we have another one where instead of putting fresh mint leafs they put liquid mint which taste like mouth water wash and called Thee monte.
You are more than welcome in Tunisia guys ❤❤❤ and btw we are Tunisians also suffering from the taxi drivers.. not all of them but the majority is trash 😤
That louage guy outside just don’t wanna pay taxes so he keeps the whole 13,5 dinars to himself, I hope you are able to visit kairouan my home town on your way to the south.
Unfortunately a lot of taxi are drivers are greedy and dodgy, especially in tourist areas. By the way, Capucin coffee that serves you, it is espresso macchiato in Italy. In Tunisia, Cappuccino is called "direct coffee". 😂
Tunis taxi driver once told me he charged a Libyan *customer the radio frequency on his car radio... Mosaique FM 94.9 TND over a 5 TND trip. It happens.
Good job! I think that the "honest taxi driver'' tried to scam you but he failed thanks to you noticing the meter, He put a fixed 15 dinars price on it to fool you but when you told him to put the meter on his trick failed. One more thing, the "Louage driver" parking outside of the louage station was not trying to trick you, he was just doing illegal passenger picking, they usually take off before the louages in the station but this drivers don't want to wait in the line so they park outside and try to collect passangers.
The taxi driver at the end was hilarious, I literally saw him in my peripheral vision bumping the meter up so I said nah mate I'm not paying that and he got embarrassed and put it back to normal then took his number plate off because police were near. Ahah yeah I just don't get why you would take the illegal louage because it would fill up so slowly and the van was in bad shape!
Bro i advice not to take the taxi i know it's confortable but why not using the metro u were in bab saadoun but just u have to walk like a few miles until u reach the station and then take the metro to place de Barcelone and then another metro to beb aliwa just to save money the fare i think it's 0.5 dinars bout for two it's 1 dinar Anyway for more information check wikipedia for Tunis metro lines
The area you guys were in is basically a giant tourist trap; sorry you had to go through that. P.S: Taxi drivers are actually allowed to charge you an extra 1 Dinar for luggage (Which would still be way under 7 dinars lol) .
@@EllisWR While it's legally required, some don't do it. Another thing could be that they just push a button on the metre, and it would add an extra dinar at the start of the trip.

The guy in the end was hilarious he literally bumped the meter as I watched him then he got super scared when I called him out
@EllisWR shame on him and on everyone trying to scam people 😒
@@EllisWR When you are stubborn about the price of the trip, offer to go to the police to settle the matter. Then the real price appears.
man i love your videos
Love ya thanks!!
Ellis if you really want to go to a beautiful beach you must go to Bizerte this is a city in the North of Tunisia when there are many Beach the most beautiful is Ghar El mellah Coco beach and rafraf
Looks beautiful yeah!! next trip we will go up!
Very nice. Both of you 👍😊👍 bit off with that taxi how was going to charge you for the luggage 🧳 in boot what the 🙄
Some of them are awful!
@@EllisWR yes agreed 👍 how would they like it if they y travel to our country's and we said same to them it's really off good you didn't choose that
Go to Bizerte in northern Tunisia, the most beautiful city
next trip!!
Many people from kairouan have come to sousse and made the beaches manky. They come in the summer sleep on the beach and leave all sorts as you have seen on the beach in the centre.
Sad, they've also ruined all the beaches around Hergla
@@EllisWR yes it was bad last time I seen even on the quieter beaches so the locals are also guilty for this behaviour.
you must go to Mahdia town near Sousse it will really be more pleasant for you. Enjoy your stay
Maybe my friend
You deserve 1m bro you are not like others just making vlogs for money with no information about the country or the culture of the country
That means a lot thanks so much!! It's a shame but that's what all youtubers do pretty much nowadays, they are awful.
Tunisia is The Best street food in the world u must try everything
Food is definitely good here
Man U should go to Mahdia so peaceful, beautiful beaches, especially the touristic zone where quad tours and jet skis, parachutes, camels rides, and much more you'll never regret!
u can go to it from Sousse by the metro of Sahel it is cheap
have fun !!
Maybe!!
very nice, you did very well, some taxis when they see tourists they can become selfish or try to gain money like the one who didn't want to put the meter on in tunis, you did a good video about my country and you did very well dealing with selfish people very nice, but though the majority of the taxis can ask for a little price (3 to 5 dinars) with anyone who has luggage to carry it's normal (like a payback because of the weight on his car because meter doesn't take this into account)
We love your country 🙏🇹🇳
You should do a Q&A one day would love to know your favourite countries!
Will take note and do a livestream sometime! Can have a chitchat about anything and answer any random questions! Thanks for the support Maria and have a lovely weekend
Go to Hergla in north of Sousse
An amazing place and peaceful
Also Kantoui and the tourestique zone
We visited Hergla!!Stay tuned
there is an island called kerkennah in sfax , it's not touristic ,but it's authentic and great to visit ,it's also so calm ❤
We were going to visit but needed a transport to get around I think! Next time we stay there a few days
Just a piece of information from a Tunisian citizen: large luggage costs one dinar each, and taxi drivers are required to use the meter to take you wherever you want. Take care and have a nice stay :)
Luggage costs nothing anywhere in the world come on, it's as silly as saying fat people pay more. Thanks for watching 🙏
No scamming Ellis & Leesh you’re too experienced 😂
actually for the taxi you got a taxi licence number above for a reason, you got it on camera the number and him refusing to use the meter you can report him
They always took their numbers off too ahah
@@EllisWR And they keep telling the police that they are on a break XD. license plate then.

Im sorry you had a horrible experience in Sousse, In the summer season it gets crowded in general and especially in the center where you were, next time go to more chill places like Kantaoui. But yea the taxi drivers even I get scammed when I go to the center with my foreigner boyfriend and I'm a local lol
I wish beach comers from around the country were more caring about keeping the beach clean. Even us locals don't dare go to that beach in the summer, we go to less crowded beaches ! Overall i hope you will get to experience it better if you ever come again, i'd recommend spring time !
We love it here in Tunisia! Tourist areas are never fun, I do wish people would look after the nature though ❤️🙏🇹🇳
Don't worry! The rest of the country is incredible we love it 🙏🇹🇳
the guy with the louage outside of the station, he's just trying to avoid paying taxes and stuff
I made the mistake once, and had to wait 3 hours vs few minutes if I had chosen the proper route
never did it again
as a Tunisian, I feel embarrassed that I got trapped and not you LOL
I'm just discovering your channel, so genuine. keep it up
ahaha yeah we suspected that was the case! We really appreciate you watching have a lovely day!!
You should visit Mahdia !
maybe!
In fact the diffrence between the two louages its the first one work in kinda "non official" way so he doesnt to pay his "emplacement rent" and pourcentage on each trip ..personally i prefer going with the regular ones unless it is crowded inside
I appreciate the info! Inside was faster and cleaner anyway!
Good morning, Ellis and Alicia 👋 guys. How are you2 doing ?😊
We're great how are you Supatra?
@@EllisWR doing great here 👍

Thanks so much my friend!!
9:17 funny dance 🤣😂
Ahaha
Ellis .... From my experience with these vans in summer times , it is much better convenient to get hot air blowing from window rather its A/C sh--t ....
Yeah the air is fine!
Would love to visit Lebanon and more!!
Don't get freaked out , louages parked outside just want to skip the line so they try to gather as much people outside the station and get on route earlier than others it's a good practice to say no though and get the ticket :D , have fun guys < 3
Ahaha their van was awful and would have taken hours to fill instead of 2 minutes!!
Do not miss Tataouine, in the South. It is were they filmed Star Wars for all the actions on 'Planet Tataounine'
Looks cool
I think u shld Visite Bizerte ❤❤❤❤❤ u so welcome
Definitely next trip!
❤welcom to Tunis ❤
Thanks!!
Hi ❤❤ you are in africa It is very far from Thailand. May you be happy in your travels.สวัสดีครับ
Hey my friend yeah so far! Thanks so much wishing you health 🙏
im a taxi driver, its been 2 years now and let me tell you, the old taxi who told you that you have to pay for the luggage is right, he is not lying, it even says it on the sticker in the back window, you can look it up ;), me personally i never charge for luggage but the meter is really low price man and we have really bad roads... that's why most of young taxis work with BOLT, because it pays better than the meter
No country we've ever been to does that aha that's why we're shocked. Even if it is a real rule we don't follow rules unless they make sense!
@@EllisWR haha fair enough man, i hope ill catch you one day and ill give you a free ride :)
Hello friends, I hope you have a successful trip with more knowledge of my country’s cultures. I ask you to taste an omelette(ajja) with sea fruits.
Sounds so good
welcome to tunisia
Thanks so much!!
i wish i can see a vedio that u cruising in djerba it is a touristique place but u should cruise in the town and just enjoy the beachs stay away from the touristic zone if u want to visit a good descent beaches u can go to ras el rmal its a smal island in djerba u can got there by an suv the pirate boats it coast 25 dt each with a full meal included also just cruising in th houmet esouk town and staying in aricha hotel is enough and cheap enjoy in tunisia
🇹🇳❤️
I hope your next destination is Bangladesh🥰🇧🇩
Maybe one day. Which towns?
@@EllisWR must Dhaka and also Chittagong, Sylhet and Cox's bazar.
è bello rivedervi ragazzi 😅👋
Thanks always 🙏❤️
Hey brother the thee you asked for is actually not fresh mint thee, we have in Tunisia the real fresh mint thee then we have another one where instead of putting fresh mint leafs they put liquid mint which taste like mouth water wash and called Thee monte.
I hate the mouth wash one ahaha. Fresh mint tea is sooo good tho
You are more than welcome in Tunisia guys ❤❤❤
and btw we are Tunisians also suffering from the taxi drivers.. not all of them but the majority is trash 😤
Only in Sousse we met these bad people! Everywhere else super ❤️🇹🇳
I hope you visit Marsa❤
I will save it!!
That louage guy outside just don’t wanna pay taxes so he keeps the whole 13,5 dinars to himself, I hope you are able to visit kairouan my home town on your way to the south.
I see I see! Their louage was proper dirty aha and had 0 customers!
Unfortunately a lot of taxi are drivers are greedy and dodgy, especially in tourist areas.
By the way, Capucin coffee that serves you, it is espresso macchiato in Italy.
In Tunisia, Cappuccino is called "direct coffee". 😂
Ahahaha woops thanks for the info!!
@@EllisWR you're welcome 😊 🇹🇳
Welcome to djerba , Zarzis tatawin
🙏🇹🇳
19:41 taxi drivers we suffer from them too.... They always try to scam us and don't use the meter (not all of them)
Only in Sousse we had this, everywhere else people were great!
Go to El haouaria mate, best town in tunisia
Saved it for next trip, looks incredible
❤❤❤
🇹🇳❤️🙏
Tunis taxi driver once told me he charged a Libyan *customer the radio frequency on his car radio... Mosaique FM 94.9 TND over a 5 TND trip. It happens.
Hilarious
Sousse's main beach, bouujaafer is known to be filthy, as a Tunisian i never went there neither going to
Yeah we just went to look. The beaches here would be really nice if people didn't trash them

Welcome 🇹🇳🌶️✌️🥰
Thanks!!!
The first louage to sousse probably didnt want to pay tax thats way he is woeking outside
Probably aha but his louage was so old and had 0 customers
@@EllisWR oh great me lad you're sharp I give you that, scam proof 😅. Thank you for your great content
18:42 That taxi driver should work for Ryanair as he want to charge you extra for the bags
ahaha what a comment
Hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahqhahahahahah or airfrance he can choose the right company 😂
👍
❤️🙏
Bro i advice not to take the taxi i know it's confortable but why not using the metro u were in bab saadoun but just u have to walk like a few miles until u reach the station and then take the metro to place de Barcelone and then another metro to beb aliwa just to save money the fare i think it's 0.5 dinars bout for two it's 1 dinar
Anyway for more information check wikipedia for Tunis metro lines
Taxi should be fine aha everywhere else in tunisia it is easy
Great video! Not letting anyone rip you guys off! Yeah fvck the tourist city's right off!
Ahaha never mate we're hard work.
The area you guys were in is basically a giant tourist trap; sorry you had to go through that.
P.S: Taxi drivers are actually allowed to charge you an extra 1 Dinar for luggage (Which would still be way under 7 dinars lol) .
Ahah don't worry! That's a weird rule nowhere else in world does that, I mean even in 1 month of Tunisia only 1 person said it too!
@@EllisWR While it's legally required, some don't do it.
Another thing could be that they just push a button on the metre, and it would add an extra dinar at the start of the trip.
Now I doscover a new stupid place of Tunisia As an arab I discovered this thank you for showing the truth babe my greatest from saudi arabia ❤
❤️🇹🇳
