Nice to see Tony finally make his Winston Cup debut as a part timer to get ready for a full 1999 Rookie Campaign which is what he didn’t do in real life as we all know. Is it still The Home Depot Paint Scheme of all things? As for the race itself, as a Petty fan myself, I’d be sweating bullets too if I was Andretti after watching my boss go down like that and I’d be doing the same as you to get those 5 Bonus Points if I saw everyone in the Top 5 in front of me all ducking into the pits. But the finish however, you could’ve pulled off some lucky ass miracle shit had you not hit the wall. So close! Oh and your memory serves correctly: DJ88 did indeed win this race in real life in 1996 which is how the *kissing the bricks* tradition started. Although I do have one question: If Chad Knaus is your crew chief in this Universe, who’s gonna be Jimmie’s once you get to 2002?
Tony is racing the scheme I found on reddit which was apparently intended to run in late '98. Had a good run here, really surprised me just how good of a long run pace I had and I used it it's fullest!
Oh and to answer the crew chief question: It's probably gonna be a different crew chief for me for 2002 but I'll see, haven't thought about it tbf😂 Just thought I mention it since it's actually Chad Knaus and Early Barban talking in my ear throughout the races
@@c0rvinn *Earl But yeah, I totally forgot you changed the default crew chief/spotter to them exactly. I like that. You’ll also have to send me the Tony scheme since we never got to see it in the race here. I’m invested to know what it looks like
