In this movie ceasefire meant for only Lords. That means you shouldnt kill any lords untill the cease fire lifted. But you higher lords can kill anyone(other lower lord minions) except lower lords. But when you kill either higher lords or lower lords whoever kill lords will have death penalty.
I think, the "higher lords" are just called Lords and the "lower lords" are called Governors as per the terminology in this movie, isn't it??

Director said he had to cramp so many things in the first chapter so that they can spare introducing characters in sequel and dive right into the Story. He said he understands the Critics, and people can judge him all they want once the second movie comes out.

10:12 This sequence confused not only you but many of the other watchers including myself at first but after repeat watches I find that pretty fair as the Randalf(Beard Guy, I love his look lol) said feudal system is pretty unfair, but here there is a system and giving every right to King will defy the very reason Shivmannar created the Constitution for, which is to curb the violence nature of them within the Khansaar!! And it's not logicless because it's a Voting System, if anyone wants to defy a King's order, then a voting will be bought up which will decide the future course of action!!
15:09 About the different factions, there are three main groups which we can divide based on their goals, 1) Rudra's group which includes Rudra, Ranga(the crazy guy) and few other of his henchmen, their goal being the death of Varadha as Rudra hates him and Ranga don't want to give up his Chair!!
2) Radharama's Group, which includes Radharama, Om, Vaali, Narang(The dead Guy's father), and few others, their goal being enacting law until Rajamannar arrives and also protect Varadha as it is King's Order!!
3) And finally Varadha's group whose goal is just survive and become a Lord!!
4)Chikaa, Gurung can said to be neutrals on can be included in Radharama's group as Narang said, they will not go against Narang's words!!
There is another guy Bhaarava, the one who instigated all this, he can be included in Rudra's group but as we can see he has his own goals, so he is a Wild Card Player!! This should pretty much sum up the factions, who is against who and what is their goal!! This movie focuses on so much of politics that it is bit difficult to understand everything at same time, but when we understand the things going on in background and get the hints, the whole experience will be multiplied, I watched it three times till now and the hidden detailings are awesome that this became one of my all time favourites!!

You missed a scene real reason for their rivalry is that prabhas made that seal and also made a law that anybody who stopped must die but he himself stopped the seal . So, now his friend has to obey the law and prabhas have to die .

At that time , we were not knowing that sunny deol is also in this movie because at that time there was not so much publicity like today's . Ceasefire was implemented to stop any sort of violence between the lords and the governors. No lord or governor should be killed by the order of a lord or a governor. When Deva killed the father (lord) and the son (governor), they assumed it was on Varada's orders because Varada registered him as his army, you remember.
The reason Deva wasn't killed in the court after he decapitated the lord: Deva should've been killed as soon as he chopped off his arm, but they couldn't. So, once he decapitated the lord in his own court(territory), there's no heir left to takeover, so, he overthrew the lord and overpowered everyone else. And no one could order his death because of the ongoing ceasefire. So, he was only arrested for breaking the ceasefire until the voting day.
Varada registered Deva as his army before entering the city of Khansaar because everyone has to be registered in order to enter the city. No one can enter the city without someone inside the city to take his responsibility. So, there is no way Deva could enter the city without identifying as Varada's army and kill everyone secretly.

Budget of this movie is 270cr compared to other indian movies it is cheap . The epic visuals are the results of the most sensible director and cinematographer .

Something has happened outside India, that we are not able to understand, why are so many people reacting to indian movies ? Earlier it was not case. It is not like indian movies did not exist before, somthing about india has happened outside India ? What has happened?
