The Strudel scene is a treasure. The acting, the sounds, the shots, the Waltz.
What makes this better is knowing this is LITERALLY ASMR, because of the art of Foley in filmmaking...recreating all of the sounds post-filming (because background noise, camera noise, etc)
I mean kinda but asmr is the feeling not the act on making noises, just saying
Nah it ain't that deep lol
@@billmint8122well their right
@@dj_bosnian99.21 they’re (they are). And no. Just because you recreate an explosion sound in post, doesn’t mean it’s ASMR
They don’t recreate every single sound do they?!
That inglorious Bastards scene will forever be one the best ASMR in movies
EXACLTY the whipped cream and the mouth sounds were top notch
Christoph Waltz essentially makes love to any language he speaks.
And I absolutely love this scene because of what it implies. Landa purposely orders food that is not kosher because he already knows who she is. He's just toying with her, like a sadist.
@@andrewslat7283This is going immediately into my collection of favorite youtube comments. Easily a top 5.
After that scene I only eat danishes and other pastries with crème now.
The whole movie of "No country for old men" is ASMR.
Each and every scene oozes creativity and art
A big part of that is because there’s no soundtrack or score
@@DoctorSess my fav movie and I never thought about this. The Coen brothers are geniuses man
@@basicguy99 yeah neither did I until a recent viewing and my mind was blown. Truly genius, the lack of any soundtrack fits perfectly with the bleak setting and the ruthless tone of the movie.
ahh yes my favorite asmr loud gun fire and people dying
Personally I hate it because of its nihilistic garbage.
Christoph waltz is made for asmr I swear, his voice, movements/mannerisms are so calming
Probably nothing happens to his forehead :)
In German his voice is a little more soothing ☺️
The Edward Scissorhands scene is incredibly well made. I completely forget that to achieve that shot she had to pretend to apply makeup around the camera lens. Its so seamless.
Just like an actual ASMR video lmao
here is a really good recreation for ASMR lovers :) : ua-cam.com/video/Z8h6PGkc8MY/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MadeInFranceASMR
Wow the inglorious bastards one is so good... white noise, the crackling and clinking sounds, and the fact that French is just a satisfying language to listen to... just perfect
French....the worlds most arrogant language🤮
the strudel scene in inglorious basterds hits different now that I learned that pig lard was the ingredient of the pastry due to a butter shortage during WWII which caused Shosanna to have a hard time eating it because of her Jewish heritage but at the same time it would be sus if she refused to eat causing her to blow her cover in front of Hans.
You also cant mix dairy and bread so the cream on the strudel is also a way for him to test her
I always thought he knew exactly who she was and just loved toying with her, like a cat with a mouse. Could totally be wrong, though
@@carliesacutieface that’s a good theory and it seems to be the case sometimes. he never actually saw her face when she ran away during the opening scene and this is pretty much what we hold onto when we think about Shosanna’s safety (that and the fact that she adopted a new identity). but Landa is not dumb and I totally agree that he kinda knew what he was doing when asked her to have a strudel with him. every action and word by Landa throughout the whole film has an ominous undertone, he's a well built character just like Waltz is a hella good actor.
@lucaswths true, he didn't see her face, but it's like he just KNOWS this girl has slipped from him and he's going to watch her squirm. This is what I've always loved about Tarantino movies and honestly just movies in general, leaving certain revelations to the viewer to decide on. Waltz is one of the best ever, love him so much.
@@carliesacutieface just like you said, a cat-and-mouse game. coincidentally enough, my friends from college were debating this same possibility earlier today. that’s one of the fun things about art, infinite interpretations are possible.
0:30 "What is that for"
"That is for your cranial nerve exam sir"
Gotta do Django when Waltz's character is pouring the beer. It's short, but very satisfying.
Yes.
Yeah the little tap with the wooden thingy
for an alcoholic it is
its like a reward
@@perrybrown7055I understand that reference
You have a fine taste sir
Finally. Another cannibal.
It's imposed crap that good taste is a certain set of Films. Someone came up with pretentious crap about good taste, and you repeat
@@nd6442 I'd rather they repeat something than listen to you speak Mr. nd. What's "nd" stand for anyway? Nuts and d!ck? And is "6442" the amount that you've fondled?
@@nd6442totally rational take, yep nothing to see here, nope, not a thing at all, you betcha yep
Easy, maybe he did’t see any of this movies
Napoleon Dynamite when debbie takes photos is the best asmr scene in any movie!
Inglorious Bastards is what set it off for me. I put that scene on dvd to fall asleep. I eventually looked up stuff like that on UA-cam and found out it was called ASMR.... On another note you should include the beginning scene of The Good Bad and Ugly... where they're eating from those bowls with a wooden spoon
3:50 I can’t stop replaying this scene
I had a sudden realization that these are all so good because theres not music in the background. I love a good movie soundtrack, but moments without anything going on are good too
That’s a good point, some of the best movies rely on sound design rather than music to set the tone of a scene or the movie as a whole.
I’ve fallen asleep to the strudel scene from Inglorious Basterds so many times. Thank you for pairing it with so many other wonderful scenes, you’ll probably be getting a bunch of views from me for a while lol
no country for old men definitely top asmr for me, the bass in the boot sounds and subtle sounds like wind and trains is so satisfying to hear, especially since the whole film is made to have only diegetic sound
I just rewatched Inglorious Basterds and the lack of background music gives it so much depth and atmosphere. It gives me the shivers 😁
J'adore le passage avec Christopher Waltz et Mélanie Laurent 💜 Merci pour cet extrait
No country for old men. There's another part where he blows up a car and goes into the drugstore while everybody is distracted with the explosion. When he goes back to his car and is opening everything he got and opening the paper bag. That part is gold and I used to watch that part on a loop before I'd ever even heard of asmr and possibly before it even had the name.
What’s happening in the scene at the start ? Does he die ?
Yes@@boltcarrier_
@@boltcarrier_ he had been shot in tbe leg so he sets up the explosion and limps into the pharmacy while everyone is distracted then limps out to his car and nobody is the wiser.
I didn't know what ASMR was before the inglourious bastards movie, then i found out why i love this scene so much
Bro you have some underrated gems I always thought these clips would make a good compilation! good job 👍
Such a beautiful compilation.
This must have taken you so long! Thx! Brilliant
The Rambo scene is pretty sad. I went into the first movie unbiased thinking it was going to be a standard action movie, it was much much better than that. A shame most people see him as a meathead action guy when his roots started with a quite emotional film
It’s hilarious the amount of asmr is in Napoleon Dynamite, before I knew what asmr was, that movie was always on when I went to sleep 😂
ASMR is for relaxation and the first scene is a murder scene 😭 ( I’m not criticising im just saying it’s funny )
Thank you for putting the name of the films
I cannot tell you how much i giggled when i saw that
Nothing more relaxing than death 😂
@@JustCallMeEmilywell you're technically not wrong...
The Ollivander acene in the first harry potter movie is purely asmr for me (except for the couple seconds when he's trying out the first two wands), but everything else in the whole scene is asmr greatness imo.
When the music rings in again when Ollie pickes out THE wand, it’s almost like we didn’t even miss the music previously.
Please make this a series!!!
Napoleon dynamite ASMR scenes are so unmatched 🙏
I know I never realized how quiet and calm that movie was, haven’t watched it in years.
You missed Harry Potter with the Ollivander scene
That’s actually some bloody asmr 😅
no country is so tense tho

He insists on the cream because authentic Jews wouldn’t be able to consume that in line with their theocracy. The fact that she eats it puts him off the assumption that she’s really Jewish but not quite far enough that she’s entirely above suspicion.
I love Inglorious Bastards - Tarantino’s best film since Pulp Fiction.
thank you so much for this
some of these r a real stretch, I liked the thing clip tho, def some there
edit: scissorhands scene too for sure
3:40 Ahh, the sweet sound of Tranquil Rage Quit.
The napoleon dynamite one I remember rewinding it 🫠
Glad the good bad and ugly made the cut, always loved this scene
Italian genius
You missed Jurassic Park when hammond is eating the melting ice cream and explaining his passion
the best asmr scene is in the sorcerer stone, when harry go to mr ollivander shop...amazing
Yes!
The Hours is basically entirely an ASMR experience, but specially the final dialogue between Meryl Streep and Juliane Moore, so good! very up close clear and crisp sound, you can tell the focus was the dialogue, the words, there’s barely any lighting at all too. also, most Tarantino movies have good ASMR, I imagine it’s the mic/sound setup, but specially on Kill Bill, the dialogue between Uma Thurman and Daryl Hannah while she reads and smokes, you can hear the cigarette burning, the mic just captures it so well! and I feel like ASMR in movies are one of our first ASMR experiences so it comes with a good feeling of nostalgia too! 🥰
Diane Wiest’s voice is asmr in the film
Guess I'm slow but it occurred to me that Delmar's unexpected death helped push Rambo over the edge.
Yeah, the whole theme of the movie was about how much Rambo and men like him sacrificed and ultimately no one cared.
The way Lance's wife looked at him when he couldn't tear the tupperware makes me rage.
Plot twist: Hollywood's been giving us tingles way before ASMR was cool!
who knew that adjusting a gun could be so satisfying
I would say in raiders the opening of the leather bible was Asmr; also the Tom skerritt death scene in alien
So glad someone included the Napoleon Dynamite scene
In all my years , I never realized these movies had ASMR. Absolutely amazing. 😊
This is so cool ❤🎉🎉
The entire no country for old men movie is ASMR
Amazing movie taste
“You only have 75 more to go.” 😂😂😂
100% Edward Scissorhands.
This was ahead of its time.
Visual/Aural ASMR.
Movie Magic 🙌🏾
I giggled a bit as i read "Indaina Jones" and "Radiers" :D But realtalk this is a really good choice of asmr scenes from movies.
Cristoph Waltz is one of the greatest actors there is.
the taking measurements scene from phantom thread is goated asmr too
as a kid that indian jones scene always made me sleepy
omg no country for old men lollll didn't expect to see that, just saw it a few weeks ago with my dad for the first time
notice how it's mostly old movies? because they used to create real art, they took their time with the acting and emotions and the whole process of certain acitivities like pouring a drink, writing something down etc. nowadays it's either a 5 minute scene of complete silence with emotionless faces or it's a chaotic scene with bitchy soundtracks and "funny" lines. man i miss the 80's and 90's
Lol what
Awesome thx
That one scene with Luca changretta first meeting Tommy Shelby always gives me tingles surely add it next time
aaand don't forget the keyboard scene from spy kids 2 😂
I used to sleep to napoleon, when I worked nights.
excellent
What about that one cleaning woody scene from Toy Story 😭
“Cheating bïtch” 😭😭
There’s a tarot card scene in the movie Tornado
"I can't do it. I can't" "So, uh, how does the dealio sound here?" 🤣😂
Bardem is one of the three or four greatest actors ever.
I always found the sound of Christoph Waltz eating strudel quite intriguing.
After that scene in Falling Down, it stopped being asmr pretty quick lol
Falling Down being in here is so funny considering what happens after that clip
Rambo’s voice is sooo soothing to listen to
Well, this is an interesting idea.
The good the bad and the ugly scen is perfect asmr even if the parts wouldn't actually work together
The second scene , is cited in the second or third John Wick movie …
The "No Country for Old Men" clip is a lot more relaxing when you don't know the context or realize what he's holding lol.
Edward Scissorhands, but when he is cutting the hair, or making the topiaries. The sounds of the cutting would be very nice.
La escena de jurásico park cuando esta desenterrando un fosil de velociraptor
nearly the whole movie the killer from netflix is asmr. I fell asleep while watching it
this is exactly why i love foley
Captain Salazar on the first scene
10:21 never noticed it till now, but he is still wrong, he says a couple of wavy lines, but there's actually 3
A couple can colloquially mean two or three of something. A small insignificant amount
I miss the Agent Smith vs Neo interrogation scene
I love it when the Agent was flipping through Neo’s file.
Agent Smith interrogation of Morphius from the Matrix is the king of movie ASMR
You'd probably enjoy the telephone switchboard scenes from The Vast Of Night.
I can't believe Matrix isn't included.
120,000 views and only 2000 of those people liked the video. The rest just forgot to appreciate the effort and only observed it.
“Hey babe what did you want to fall asleep to tonight”
“I don’t know nothing to serious how about a Nazi”
1st clip he was about to pop a hole into his head
for me, people speaking french in movies is so soothing
Surgery scene in Spies Like Us
In the first clip, ASMR stands for "Anton Stunned Man Ruthlessly."
a better asmr scene for napoleon dynamite is when deb was modeling uncle rico for his photo
Radiers of the lost Ark 11:57
Why does napoleon dynamite have so much asmr in it lol I love that movie
I always found that Robocop had some great ASMR while he was being built.
