I play at Thunder Valley, usually once a week. It’s nice because I live only a few minutes away from it and there’s usually a lot of fish at the 1/3 table.
General strategy question: At about 4:59, you mention that you have a backdoor flush draw to your Jh-10h after a flop of Jd-8d-7h. (Other vloggers and commentators also always seem to mention the backdoor flush possibility in similar three to a flush after the flop situations.) If my math is correct, it's about a 4.16% chance of catching runner-runner cards of your hoped for same suit. Is this 4-ish% chance of a flush enough to influence whether you call, fold or raise on the flop? Said in a different way: Suppose the flop had been the 7c or 7s instead of the 7h. How, if at all, would you have played the hand differently?
Personally, I don’t take it to account when calculating my odds on the flop, but I have it in the back of my head that it will help out my future equity if that makes sense. Also, I’m not much of a strategy player (if you look at my last video)
Backdoor draws only seem to contribute a seemingly small amount of equity BUT say you have a bd nutflush and the turn is a card that helps then you have c. 20% equity ob the turn or more and you might win a reallt good pot Alternatively, understanding bd draws will help you call more which will potentially stop you folding way too much on the flop
I personally enjoy 1/2 at stones especially with the increased capped buyin as you mentioned. 1/3 at stones and capital can be a headache sometimes. You also forgot about limelight on wednesdays i believe. Hahaa like 1-2 tables running. Now that I have a baby, so long with many of my friends, we started a group on a poker app so we can play in the comfort of our homes. Win win tbh. Continue posting. Im learning a lot. Great content.

What is your opinion of the cheating happening exploiting the dealer in live poker ? It seems like it is very rampant from basic to super hardcore and using multiple persons to coordinate cheating.

I cut my teeth on poker at capital casino. Actually learned 3/6 limit holdem first there then no limit. Always a good poker spot for the past decade I’ve been going there. If only they had room to expand for more tables. Cause they do it right.
@NorCal_Poker I moved from the Santa rosa area to Rocklin.. I played at Graton casino all the time and now go to Thunder valley for the 3-5 and soemtimes 5-10.

Thunder valley tables are a little better than smaller casinos in CA!! 101 San Jose is only other place that has fun tables fairly loose play!! Dealers rock with you there

Not too sure!
