I'm happy the period blame was brought up and that the guys responded so well. You said its like a juvenile thing to blame a girl's mood on their period, but I get those comments most from my dad, so it's actually more common place than you might think, and definitely not exclusive to teenagers. You guys give me hope for my future relationships haha

I actually admire girls for being able to manage their emotions when they periods come, cos I understand it must not be easy to manage the pain AND try to function like a normal human being without letting others know you're in pain.

Sometimes I raise the period subject before or after. Never when she's on it. Learned the hard way at 16. Good lawd!
i think the main takeaway, it's the small things that matters. to add into that would be the things you does on a daily basis, rather than based on occasions only. i feel many people are too into the 'milestones' and 'events' (e.g. 100 days, valentine's day, etc.) rather than doing it because the other person is special to you.
