Sony ECM LV-1 Review || Studio Setup ||

Review of Sony ECM LV-1 in a studio kind of environment. Its one of the best lav mic under Rs 2000. Yet to test it with my motovlogging setup. Will do it soon, subscribe & turn on the notification to get the updates.

This sony mic is good for livestreaming…or if u want a condenser mic then go for maono au pm 461s. Uska bhi review kiya hai maine… u can check it on my channel.

Then i would say boya by m1. It has good voice quality.background noise is also less. But it has a very long wire. If thts not what you want then go for Maono AU400. Way cheaper but background noise will b there.

Can we record stereo dual channel audio on a smartphone with the LV1?

You cant use it with the phone…it can be used only with the cameras, unless and until tou hav the converter.

@@naughty9 Thank you. I will still get it for the audio quality. I have a Xiaomi phone and a TRRS to TRS splitter. I guess it would work fine 😄.

Dude this one has a TRS adaptor… you need TRS to TRRS convertor to use with the phone…which is not possible i guess. You can use this mic with any camera without the adaptor, but cant use it with the mobile or laptop..

​@@naughty9 Well I understand your concern but I believe that you misunderstood it. The splitter I have is a TRRS male to TRS input + TRS output splitter. It will definitely work. You can test it.
The SONY ECM-LV1 uses the standard TRS layout which has left channel(tip), right channel(ring) & the ground(sleeve).
What the TRS to TRRS converter does is that it merges the two left and right channels (therefore stereo won't work on a phone) from the TRS respectively and connects it to the sleeve of TRRS. The ground from sleeve of TRS is connected to the second ring of TRRS. This is a simple analog to analog signal routing.
The Rode SC3 converter which works with this mic does the same thing (there is no fancy DAC chip to do this) and all of the splitters that we get around INR 100-150 also do the same thing. So, there is no difference between a converter and a adapter of these types! You can use them interchangeably. I watched some videos where this setup with the LV1 is working fine with a smartphone with the splitter and also with the Rode SC3 converter.
