''From Kings Cross Station, London, to Waverly Station, Edinburgh is 393 miles. The Elizabethan, a summertime express, covered the journey in six and a half hours, at the time the longest non-stop journey in the world to be timed at over 60 mph. This film captures the speed and excitement of one of those runs, recalling the glamour of the great days of steam, as well as the hard work of the men who maintained the service. The exciting footplate photography is a fine tribute to the top link drivers of Gresley's mighty A4 streamlined locomotives.''

Silver Fox differs from Mallard as it was from the initial batch of four A4's built in 1935. Mallard is part of a later batch. Furthermore, Silver Fox is not fitted with the Double Chimney and Kylchap Blastpipe setup. She was built with a standard Single Chimney. I am unsure what blastpipe Setup Silver Fox, and the other 3 initial batch A4's had fitted to them however.
