Looking back, Theismann wasn't that good of a broadcaster. Even his episodes of _American Gladiators_ were blacklisted from reruns for a while at his request. More recent rerun packages have included the 13 episodes where he hosted, however (the Gladiators didn't like him either, though Theismann did admit that he had a role in developing rules for some of the events.)
I have a bunch of drafts I recorded to dvd and I never labeled most of them so I have a handful of those dvds with me and a bunch of them in storage mixed in with about a 100 of other dvds I recorded
@@michaelskurski912 Hey please post whatever you have! I would be happy to see it, hopping through the time capsule! I wish I still had the one I recorded. I will ask you to post them in a few months if you have not yet, and ask for their title. Please do inform here when you post them, please!. 🙏
What if the raiders would have took walter Jones or jason Taylor lol man going back and thinking about where all these guys would get drafted with a do over is crazy
All of these NFL drafts I recorded on VHS when they were originally televised and kept them all these years. I finally have gotten around to putting them on DVD and then decided to upload them to UA-cam. Unfortunately I did not record any NBA drafts.
Idc what anyone says, the draft coverage is MUCH better and MUCH more informative today. Berman basically just came up with nicknames and didn’t have knowledgeable people around him. Aside from Kiper, it was a shit show.
I couldn't disagree more. ESPN destroyed their draft coverage. It's just a prime time show now. Back in the 90s they started at 9 and went on for 10 hours day 1. It was about football back then today they want to spend time talking about these players personal lives for the most part. It's ruined
11:03 Vermeil’s joke fell flat lol
Joe Thesman has some of the worst takes on here.
Always does!!!!!!!
He was absolutely right about Lawrence Phillips having his troubles all behind him…..aside from killing his cellmate a few years later.
He always did! My grandfather always thought he was not a good football analyst.
@@evanwilliams6406I have seen most all the drafts again the last 2 generations and time sure makes his takes cringy.

Mel Kiper’s hair was at its peak.
Five Hall of Famers in this Draft:
Tony Gonzalez
Walter Jones
Orlando Pace
Jason Taylor
Ronde Barber
And the Jets first traded out of the slot that became Orlando Pace and then traded out of the slot that became Walter Jones. 😂
Darren Sharper wasn't first ballot but he probably would have been in eventually if not for...well, you know.
oooooo boy, the sentence "when you see (Darrell) Russell on film" didn't age well. may he RIP
i also taped whole nfl drafts from 1999 to 2012 all 7 rounds but i lost them

even if you found the tapes...what the hell would you watch them on!?
They're in the trash or are they in boxes and you don't know which one they are in?

Dick Vermeil is 60 in this video and looks younger than I am and I haven't even hit 50 yet.
25+ years later now i understand how walter jones ended up on Seattle....

woof...those problems were not behind Lawrence Phillips
Joe Theismann was just horrific. My Lord!
How do you find these? Do you have any way of getting NBA drafts as well?

Oh wow! Awesome! Got more coming?
Hopefully I can find some more.
@@SteveKresminski Thanks!
@@SteveKresminskiWell thanks for sharing with us very rare to see drafts before the internet age
I remember really, really wanting the Raiders to pick Walter Jones.
Orlando Pace and Walter Jones. Ouch.
if only the lions had taken walter jones

Thats why they had draft magazines , Sports illustrated, ESPN....

Orlando Pace will be great but the Rams need a quarterback. If I were them I’d look at the Arena League for a qb.
They also need to get a real running back and a real partner for Issac Bruce lol.
Do have nfl primetime 1997 highlights week 1 thought 17 1:37 1:38
lol Lawrence Phillips , is going be ok. In prison
lol
Spoiler alert for Joe Theismann, Lawrence Phillips did not turn out ok.
Got damn I’m two hours in an Theismann has been incredibly wrong on literally everything he says.
Theismann was there to counter Mel's expert opinion.
