    You are an absolute wealth of knowledge. Thank you for sharing it. I love to see it applied to jobs you do. Your team is outstanding and operates as a cohesive unit. Great work guys.

    Less dare devil... I rather call it a team that operates with experience, knowledge and above all: trust. This is what makes things go smooth and gets you guys home safe in the end of the day. Safety isn't about regulations, it's an attitude. Be safe!
    Congratulations to you for your daughter.

    Sorry AUGUST, I watched this a couple days back and forgot to leave a comment telling you, I think THIS VIDEO is one of your best efforts (and you made a ton)! Anyway, this is aimed directly at a newb, or someone expert (like you). HOMEWORK - one must do lots of HOMEWORK 'not' to get hurt and what you presented here is way over the top for ALL to SEE and I hope they (ALL) will watch! Thank you and God bless to you & yours always! Sonny (CT)

    Hi August - Adam Marshall here from Stoke on Trent here - just wanted to say how much I enjoy and love your posts! Thinking of all you Oregonians when I read of the devastating fires affecting your beautiful state! Cannot stop hoping that you and your family, both home and work, keep safe in these troubled times! I know you have faith, as do I, and this will sustain you now and beyond! God bless and keep both safe and well!

    Don’t forget that the phones we look at so many times a day can also tell you the time and date , they can even replace your memory for your special occasions and warn you in advance. This is a great way of preventing “the face”. Happy unbirthday to everyone who’s birthday isn’t today and happy birthday to everyone who’s birthday is today. Have a great day August and everyone who’s supporting the channel.

    The easiest way to sum it up is that now you are much more knowledgeable about cranes and how they should be utilized, and are applying that knowledge in a way to safely and efficiently accomplish your job. 20 year old August didn’t know much about cranes. 20 year old August was just a tree guy and was trusting the crane guy to be the expert and to assure you that what you were doing and how you were loading it was safe. 52 year old August is now both a tree guy and a crane guy, and is focused on keeping his crew working efficiently and in as safe a manner as possible.

      @@AugustHunicke All depends on the situation and more so your LZ. You may not have the room to set a long horizontal pick down and have to stand the piece up instead. It's harder to do, but certainly is an allowable and acceptable way to make the lift, just not part of the BMP for Crane Rigging in Trees.

    • @AugustHunicke
      @AugustHunicke  Рік тому

      @@chrisgirard7297 I think standing them up is easier, less rigging. There’s a time for everything. Yep, crane classes want to line angle always straight up and down. Not reasonable in the real world IMO

    I love the way you described the committee in your head. Do you ever think of your family while you climb? Or would that be too distracting? Mine are always at the forefront of my thoughts (especially in sketchy trees, during storms, etc) that I want to see them at the end of the day. If trees have taught me one thing is love your family.

      Yeah, everything‘s a mess. Our government is allowing wanton violence too by rioters because it promotes their political agendas.

    A confluence of events ... so I'm watching the video and after the crane talk, you start talking about birthdays. I was only half paying attention I guess, and it wasn't until you mentioned cops, I was one of those, that the other stuff came back around ... your daughters birthday was 9/9, and so is my daughter's, some years earlier though, and then the other thing ... her child, my granddaughter, is named Hannah. How strange is that. A confluence...
