- Well it's been a while, but I've managed to apply more scenery on the layout, this time I've focussed on the foot of the incline. This means I've got scenery all the way across the middle of the layout - a milestone!

Super bit of grass laying, a joy to watch as always. I can still remember walking up the path by the incline and look forward to seeing the finished layout.

Morning George. Superb progress. The fallen leaves around the headshunt are looking particularly good under closeup conditions. The hairspray trick is one which was common back when 1st gen DMMUs plied the Cambrian system ... haven't seen it used in many moons. IIRC, there were concerns about flammability with the stuff available back then, but I'm guessing blazing Barnets are out of fashion these days.
I REALLY need to attend a spray painting workshop ... the whole idea terrifies me and painting is far and away the worst aspect of my own distinctly limited "skillset" (for want of a better word!).
Cheers. Some people are suggesting actual scenic sprays..But they’re about £11 more per can, and I can imagine I need the finish any stronger than it is with hairspray

Instead of hairspray, can I recommend you use WWS Tree & Bush foliage spray?
I love WWS products, but tend to use hairspray as it’s about £11 cheaper per can
