@qualityshea I'm interested in creating a soap blend using glycerin, black soap, kaolin clay, jojoba oil. I'd melt the black soap in the glycerin, add the clay and the jojoba. In my mind, I imagine all the ingredients will blend. Will it still need be necessary to include the potassium hydroxide

@qualityshea would the lye be necessary if you wish to create a liquid soap?
Yes. for liquid soap you will need Potassium Hydroxide. For a bar soap you need sodium hydroxide
