I believe they can but they are made for tv. I think the difference is just how the light bars work better on a monitor
Thank you for your work. Just wondering if there is a way to configure my monitor LED (built in Acer Predator XB323QK) to sync with the screen? Can't find anything online.
The LED bars should work with pretty much anything, including that monitor. The LED light strips need to be ordered for a specific size

They need to make this without needing the camera/sensor on top of the TV. I wish it could read the colors through software instead, at that point I will definitely purchase
How would this look if the tv is free standing? Or does it need a wall to reflect the light off of?
What do you think? single light source, not that much lumen, and no wall? it is like at night shining a flashlight right up in the sky. It matters yes.

I was wondering how will this fare with G-Sync gaming monitor (144 Hz, LCD). Worried about the positioning of the camera. From such a top view, colors on display will seem very distorted and dimmed... anyone has any experience?
I think you should be alright. They get distorted if there is a ton of light on one edge. Otherwise they look fine most of the time
My first worry is the adhesive that keeps the camera up there. I bet it will tip over or fall and give false data or worse, the owner gets this mad he throws the whole sad story in the trashbin. LOL Everything they sell with adhesives will come down eventually, for sure..🙂

It’s really cool but that price is not worth it (150-180$), I bet I can hook up an Arduino board program it with that code you used and it would do the same

@Rielly, I had to react to your video, despite the fact you made a good review, I was really hoping it would just be different. I saw a video a year or so ago, where they used a Raspberry Pi to control led strips, that are programmable of course, and had a connection with the hdmi to 'see' the video signal and via programming it showed actual colors.

It might not be perfect but it would probably work
just buy a regular monitor and stop complaining and asking stupid questions. you obviously knew it being curved would cause a problem which is why you asked. so if you know it would be a problem why even ask? i hope when you buy it the colors are inverted.
