      What's up man! It was nice to meet you guys in northern NM. To bad you guys didn't harvest a bear. I was hoping you guys would. I didn't take an elk either although I had a small chance on a nice 5x5 bull. He ran off to fast before I can pull the trigger. Like wise man, there are some good people out there! You guys were awesome!

      @@ManzanoManATVAdventures Yeah bugs just have been so bad this year... and had lots of overland flooding so that nixed going out this spring. I'm hoping fall is longer... would love to get a few in.

    Hey Buddy ! Wow, great timing, I was trying to get caught up on some YT videos and you posted ! haha What a cool spot that old homestead was, too bad it's gone but makes for a really cool spot to check out, I always think about the history.
    Good idea to move camp, I don't think people who don't grow up around bears can know just how scary they are, and aren't your bears Grizzlies? or are they Brown bears? We only have Black bears up here. The 2nd spot was really nice too, such a cool forrest ! Drone shots was nice too.
    Great video my friend, I hope you and the family are all doing good ! Cheers buddy !

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  2 роки тому

      Awesome timing haha. No doubt this was a sweet spot to check out. I love history and finding old ruins or homesteads outdoors. No grizzlies, just black bears in my neck of the woods, but we have a lot of them in our mountains. They are harder to spot since they like to stay in higher elevations. The only time we see them lower is when the food source is low. Glad you enjoyed the video buddy. Take care and I hope all is well. My family is doing well, thanks for asking.

    Yes you certainly need to be aware of those bears.
    Best to not even cook at camp if possible if there are good chance a bear will stroll through.
    I don’t bring the clothes I cook in into my tent either.
    There was a guy out here that got bit in the but by a big Grizzly. He had toothpaste inside the tent and they figure that’s what drew the bear in.
    Great video btw.

      @@ManzanoManATVAdventures Right on but never underestimate a black bear. They are more unpredictable than a grizzly bear. We have more people killed in my area by Black Bear’s than grizzlies if you can believe that.

    My husband wants to know why you havent made any videos in 6 months. He loves your videos and had knee surgery and asked me to inquire on when you will be doing videos again.

      Hello, thanks for your inquiry on the videos and your husbands support. I will begin filming videos again and I have plans for this weekend depending on how nasty the weather gets since we are expecting snowfall. But I hope he gets well and I will be out either this weekend or the next with plans to film regularly. Thanks again!

      I was in the north part of Manzano Mountains near the 4th of July canyon. There are some awesome little trails through there to take. Thanks for watching buddy.

    Yeah you and bears don’t seem to get along. So how’s carrying those 33 round mags all the time with you? Heavy? Just pulling your chain.

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  2 роки тому +1

      Hey there! I have had many bear encounters over the years. Enough that I like my space between us lol. Carrying something is a bit of peace, so I don't mind it. But yeah, 33 round mags is a lot lol. Thanks for watching,

      Get a kick out of watching these. O yea a bear moving 35 mph like a NFL team closing in on this pork chop on wheels. 33 might be and over kill. But you still get the advantage of standing over when it over.

    Have you upgraded your shocks? I’m a bigger guy and I was thinking of doing Atv camping trips. And my shocks are soft. So I was wondering if I should upgrade them.

    • @ManzanoManATVAdventures
      @ManzanoManATVAdventures  2 роки тому +1

      Hey there. Sorry for the late response. I have not upgraded my shocks yet. I am also a bigger guy and so far everything that I carry with me has managed well. If your shocks are soft it might be worth upgrading them to hold a little weight. But I would recommend you do a test run with your gear prior to buying to see how it rides and feels. You never know, you might save some money if it handles well.

    Get yourself a portable electric fence, then you can camp anywhere.

    ATV camping in the woods: solo on the can-am where you came up on the fireplace would you ever use those to stay warm

      I would use it only if it is in an area i enjoyed that had deep seclusion, which is how i like to camp.

    What brand/model is your spare fuel tank? Just got a Yam Kodiak 700. Kitting it out for adventures in AZ.

      I am using the JONAS C 1.3 Gallon Gas Tank that I bought from Amazon. I have owned it for close to a year and I have had no issues with it. In the peak of summer it can swell a little bit so I will open it occasionally to let it vent. It is a cheaper alternate over a ROTOPAX. Awesome ATV you picked up. Safe riding and thanks for reaching out.
